The Rig is a named location in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was added in Update v12.00 to the island Apollo. It is an oil rig owned by the company Spillexx. The Rig is located near Slurpy Swamp.

Update v12.00: Added The Rig.
Update v12.20: The Rig has been heavily damaged and taken over by SHADOW. Boats from nearby have gotten closer to support the remaining structure.

Update v32.00: The Rig has been re-added due to the return of the Apollo island.
- Dynamo TNTina spawns here as a boss, with SHADOW Henchmen as her guards.

Trivia

Crash Pads could not be used at this location.
Several easter eggs at The Rig referenced movies from Season 4.
A Green Lantern reference was also present here.
Blueprints for Vindertech Pulsar, a weapon from Fortnite: Save the World, were found here.
The Cyclo suit could be found here, replacing Venturion's suit.
On top of the Weeping Woods tower, a SHADOW telescope could be seen observing the area.
In Update v12.20, The Rig became a SHADOW base. It was blown up into pieces, spilling oil into the ocean. Due to the drastic change, players would need to re-discover the location as if they hadn't already.
The Liquid Gold achievement required picking up a legendary weapon at this location.
The Rig bears a resemblance to the Oil Rig from the videogame Rust. While there are many similarities, it is unknown if this was the inspiration.
