Overview[]
Following the sabotage of the Death Star, a chunk of debris from its explosion hit Predator Peak's Spirit Realm Portal, sending forth a reality wave across the Island, along with several more debris.[2] The reality wave impacted upon a Battle Bus, granting superpowers to a team of courageous individuals that were rescued by Superman, while Daigo gained immense power after being set free. Hope and Jones decided to open up a school for training of these new heroes following these events, leading Midas to help fund this effort, and instructors being hired to secure the Academy's effectiveness.

Chapter 6: Season 3[]
The Academy's Opening[]
Following the sabotage of the Death Star, a wave of Zero Point energy resulting from the collision of a fragment of the Death Star with the Predator Peak Portal affected a group of people in the Battle Bus, granting them superpowers. Around this time, Superman arrived in Reality: 783 through a Rift and saved the Battle Bus and its passengers from the imminent crash. In light of Daigo reigniting the threat of the Demon Warriors alongside his new lieutenant, Kor, Hope, Jones, and The Night Rose decided to found a superhero academy, leadings to the creation of the Supernovas. However, Hope continues to prophesy doom ahead of them all.[27]
With the help of Midas, Jones and Hope managed to fund the idea of their academy and Utopia City, and became the first teachers. They invited The Night Rose who is also considered as one of the founding member and later Robin and Superman to be part of the Teaching Staff. To begin their dream of The Academy, they invited the Battle Bus group: Sun Tan Specialist (who became Ziggy), Haylee Skye, Synthwave, Lightrider, Morgan Myst, and the cyborg Killswitch — all have been empowered by the Zero Point energy wave, forming the first heroic group of The Supernovas.
Over the course of their studies, a Second Team of Supernovas would be recruited. For the Third and Final group, The Looper, Kendo, and Jade act as their allies and field agents, investigating, fighting and relaying information to Hope and the group.[28]
Tensions begin to emerge on the Island once again. Kendo has seen so much betrayal and chaos to his Island that he no longer believes in Daigo at all, to the point of accepting that he or the academy might have to put him down for good.[29] Jade hates this idea, however, because she recognizes that the Dark Presence has corrupted his mind, meaning that Daigo could be set free from the corruption. Kendo won't listen to Jade's pleas, however.[30] Instead, he aims to focus on Kor and the rest of the demons, as well as uplifting the morale of Morgan Myst, telling her to listen to Hope, because she believes in her potential.[31] That all remains true for a very short time, because after allying with The Looper, Kendo starts to see hope in the darkness for his family's fate.[32]
Jade is trying her best to get settled in. She resents the Fox Clan for not helping her during her time of need in the Spirit Realm[33] but despite this, has a soft spot for Mizuki and the River Guard, still pleading for Daigo's case, to set him free, claiming he's not like their ancestor.[34]
Outlaw Midas meets back up with his friend, The Looper. They learn he had funded the creation of the Utopia City, and he has set his eyes on taking down Daigo for good, but he does show genuine sympathy for his recklessness. For the sake of their partnership and with no hard feelings to begin with, Midas and Jones out their past behind them.[35] Midas has retained good communication with The Outlaws, featuring good dealings with Skillet, friends with every Outlaw in general, and has officially allowed Cassidy Quinn to be his protege if she's willing to step up and prove her case.[36] Of course, Midas didn't forget to thank Dillinger for his service in taking down Fletcher Kane's business with the Dill Bits.[37] However, Morgan has noticed that Skillet was sneaking around and listening in on people for an unknown reason.[38] Even so, Morgan Myst has shown a mysterious fascination with Midas and his SHADOW crew.[39]
The Academy has its upsides and its downside moments with its students. Despite the great teachers they possess, Ziggy barely goes to class, and when he does, he brings snacks, which annoys Jones,[40] but pleases the Night Rose.[41] Haylee Skye skips the line with the excuse that "the beast is hungry",[42] while Jones is trying to figure out if her and the beast get different grades or not.[43] Killswitch usually has over-preparations and he's so determined to his work to be perfect that he asks Jones and other teachers for more homework.[44]
Lightrider is arrogant and a "cool loner", which The Night Rose and Jones do appreciate to an extent,[45] but The Night Rose keeps it simply, yet harshly put, stating that tactically speaking, that way of doing things is useless.[46]
The Night Rose continues with these lessons onto Haylee Skye, Synthwave, Morgan Myst and Killswitch. For Haylee, she wants her to realize her potential with her brains, rather than solely relying on the Storm Beast's brawn.[47] For Morgan's case, she simply wants her to stop second-guessing her instincts, because her potential is really good.[48] She warns Killswitch that over-preparation can sometimes be just as deadly as under-preparation.[49] Lastly, for Synthwave, she is determined to teach her ruthlessness, even if it's the final thing she does.[50]
The Supernovas, despite their flaws, get along well. Haylee wants Killswitch to join her cheer squad and be backflip buddies,[51] and he views her as "the GOAT", with a play on words regarding her beast form.[52] Killswitch and Lightrider do mess with each other regarding racing.[53] Though, Killswitch does have to remind Lightrider about cooperation over competition sometimes.[54] The latter, thinking she's the best also believes she could face off against Haylee's beast.[55]
Haylee asks Lightrider if she's still up to teaching her how to surf.[56] Haylee lets Ziggy take his time in a very friendly matter,[57] and she appreciates Synthwave for always staying on beat.[58] Synthwave isn't as much on friendly terms with Lightrider and she is Haylee, for Lightrider considered them as just teammates rather than friends.[59]
Robin's Training & Heart of the Sprites[]
At the request of Robin, The Looper tests his new grappler tech at the Slurp Room. Ever since Superman's arrival and the Zero Point energy wave, the Sprites have begun to react to the shift. Jade reveals to The Looper that the Sprites protected her while she was trapped in the Spirit Realm. She sends The Looper off to make sure that the Sprites are okay, and as a heartwarming sight, some of the Sprites have adapted to Superman's presence and have gained his laser eyes and suit look while others gained Zero Point powers. The Looper returns some of them to their Sprite Shrines for Jade as well while they are on the lookout.
Shadows of the Shard & Brothers of Mask & Blade[]
Hope decides to focus on the main problem, Daigo, so she sends The Looper off to talk to Kendo to help him. Together, they went to investigate on the Demons, confronting Daigo before investigating his Scout and Overlord Spires. In the end, Kendo and The Looper realized that Daigo had not betrayed them, but that he was controlled, heart and mind, by something else. In the end, Kendo finally starts to believe Jades' words, that maybe there is truly some way to save Daigo from the mind corruption he has undergone. The Looper then reported everything to Hope, the latter noting they have to defeat the Spires, save Daigo, find a way into the Spirit Realm, before confronting the dark presence there.
The Trials of Morgan Myst[]
Hope warmly welcomes The Looper to the Academy, expressing her amazement at how everything came together so seamlessly. As part of their initiation, she assigns them to test the newly developed Supernova Gear—a cutting-edge creation the Academy has recently engineered. Once the test is complete, Hope requests their help with a more delicate matter: Morgan's shadow proxies have become unsynchronized. During this task, The Looper discovers Morgan's ongoing struggles with self-confidence. Hope, however, is undeterred—she sees echoes of herself in Morgan and remains determined to encourage her growth. In fact, she firmly believes that The Looper, more than anyone else, can help Morgan's potential to truly blossom. With The Looper's help, Morgan regains a bit of her confidence and genuinely thanks them for their support, visibly more at ease and hopeful. Meanwhile, Morgan has her own quests underway. Aware of Mask Maker Daigo's vast influence and mysterious power, she ask The Looper to set up surveillance equipment within his domain. The goal: to record his movements and uncover the truth behind the Spires' power and meaning. Along the way, they recover several fragments left behind after the Death Star Sabotage. These are carefully delivered to the Academy's newest guest instructor, Superman, for further analysis and insight.
Morgan Myst Investigates[]
Hope contacts The Looper again to ask them to help Morgan Myst on her drills, expressing that Morgan needs mentorship and that she trust The Looper for this. Then The Looper and Morgan trained together in the Hero Training Room, however Morgan noticed that The Looper's performance was incredible and started to wonder why The Looper would waste their time to train with someone like her, considering herself unworthy.
During the training session, Morgan talked to The Looper about something she's been working on, and tell them she's going to reveal everything once the session of training is done. Once the session is over, much faster than usual thanks to The Looper, she tells them about her suspicions that Hope and the other instructors are hiding something from them, and ask them to help her.
Investigations into Hope, Jones, and Night Rose's offices led to the revelation that Hope was working with Midas, something The Looper already knew but pretended to be surprised. However, the documents led to a secret project, tied to a gate at Utopia City. Once all the documents and clues were brought back and pinned on Morgan's corkboard, the duo figured out the archway in Utopia City was actually a gateway to Hope and Midas' secret project. Morgan came up with a theory about how the gate was opened, and The Looper played along, without saying anything, taking a Sprite to open the portal.
Once the gate opened, a hologram of Midas emerged and addressed Morgan, telling her he wasn't mad at her, as he had a fondness for shadows, before explaining to her the project. He then praise her abilities in espionnage despite her inexperience, while teaching her a first lesson "know when to keep a secret". The Looper later went to confront Hope, at Morgan's request. Hope will mention that she was impressed and that they were right not to trust Midas. However, she pointed out the fact that the Vault was needed, both for this Island and other places where other shards might have gone. However, hearing Hope's words Morgan believes she intended for The Looper and her to find out about this all along.
A Golden Shadow & Skillet's Scheme[]
Midas, laying low at Utopia City, needs discreet assistance and contacts The Looper, needing them as a liaison between him and Skillet, his "chaotic but efficient spy," in order to retrieve the intel he is "supposed" to have collected. Once The Looper finds him, Skillet thinks they're an opponent who wants to harm him, forcing The Looper to pretend to be eliminated to prove him wrong. The Looper then spoke with Skillet, who understood that they were sent by Midas for intel, however, he suspiciously sent them ahead while "he'll start later."
The Looper then talked to their friends, Jade and Kendo, to get intel on Daigo, then went to question Jones, Hope, and the Night Rose about the Spires Daigo was using to harm the Island, using their trust in them to gain all the information they needed. As it turns out, studies breakthroughs on how the Spires operate were completed successfully, however, Hope and her team redacted some of the intel, for they feel as if Midas and his crew may be drawn to misusing their findings.
The Looper, successful in their mission, returned to speak to Skillet; the guy obviously did nothing, a fact that he confesses to, and asks The Looper to tell Midas it was him who got all the information. The Looper accepted this request of his, whether it be by their honor or being spooked by Skillet's spoken threat of "hidden 'splosives".
The Looper returned to Midas and brought him the valuable intel he requested. The latter was surprised by "Skillet's espionage skills" and thanked The Looper for their help as go-between, not knowing the truth, before noting that Hope and some of the other instructors didn't seem to trust him entirely, but that it's rather a good thing that they don't.
Expeditions[]
The Supernova Academy recruits more and more people from the Island and beyond to train them and make them ready against Mask Maker Daigo and his forces. Killswitch, Morgan Myst and Lightrider are deployed to help them learn about their respective powers and abilities: Hunting Specialist, Shadow Caller and Rift Ripper.
During the numerous missions, the Academy ends up learning Mask Maker Daigo's forces include both demons from the Spirit Realm and creatures from the Storm King's realm—he has allied with The Army of the Last Reality. As the missions progress, more and more things are learned, like the purpose of the Spires and how they're appearing and the heroes become stronger and Morgan Myst and Lightrider shows growth in their personalities.
Jade and Kendo, despite not being from the academy also help them the best they can, helping with the intel and reinforcing the Academy's defenses, all while facing their doubts and fears about Daigo and his dark master's purpose.
Look Up[]
Kor, the Shrouded Striker and Lieutenant of Daigo, along with the mercenaries under her command and her demonic soldiers, pursued Fishstick into the Arctic Tundra. However, the latter managed to find temporary solace by entering the Fortress of Solitude. Kor sent a demon and one of her mercenaries, Centurion, to scout ahead, both were eliminated after Fishstick found Superman's Call Crystal, transforming his body into Superman and letting him take control, worrying Kor and her troops.[60] Upon the successful transformation, he attacked the remaining mercenaries and demons alongside Krypto, leaving Kor alone to face them.
Fall of the Supernova Academy & Graduation[]
Mask Maker Daigo and his army launched a surprise attack on the Supernova Academy building, wrecking it without the Supernovas being able to save it, leaving behind glitched screens, blinking alarms, valuables thrown down, and the nature surrounding the Academy has withered away, leaving the entire team distraught.[61] Grief takes hold of each of them in their own way, but also, each of them stay determined to persevere the real Academy, its people. With a reignited flame in their souls fueled by bravery, the lessons that they've learned will remain valuable for their heroic fight.[62]
Hope is furious, and no longer cares about saving Daigo,[63] while Jones now has a new thing to avenge in the aftermath of the Academy's fall.[64] He tells the Supernovas that he's proud of how far they've come, that they truly have "graduated", as despite their failure to protect the Academy Building, all of them showed growth, both as a team and also individually.[65] For a few examples, Lightrider finally embracing the assistance of her teammates and the groups' teamwork, Haylee is now able to combine both her brains and her brawn from her normal self and her Storm Beast form to work together in concert, and Morgan Myst is now able to take the lead of the team after proving her capabilities to everybody, including herself. After the fall of the Supernova Academy at the hands of Mask Maker Daigo's army, Morgan decides to come up with a plan to help boost the team's morale by asking The Looper to search the destroyed premises of the academy and recovering the team's lost items - Killswitch's water bottle, Ziggy's foot bags, Lightrider's digital planner, Synthwave's custom headphones and Haylee's nationals trophy.
After collecting Spire Fragments at the request of Morgan Myst, The Looper uses them to forge a stone recreation of The Supernovas' logo, a symbol expressing to the Island that hope for the future, through the efforts of The Supernovas, will continue as they bounce back, stronger than ever before after everything that their instructors and allies have taught them.[66]
The Showdown Preparation[]
With the Supernova Academy ransacked and morale shifting between everybody and Oninoshima's fate hanging in the balance, the heroes know that they must stop Mask Maker Daigo from completing the powerful ritual over at Demon's Domain.[67] Killswitch, knowing the Island's fate is at stake, wastes no time aiming straight for Mask Maker Daigo to kill him. However, Jade prevent him to do so as he is still her brother.
They plan to attack the Demon Warriors quickly, but the Supernovas have one more quiet, calm and fun hangout session with each other before the big fight ahead of them.[68] Meanwhile, Hope uses her prophetic spray-painting powers once again over at Utopia City's walls, depicting a mysterious demonic tentacle as well army of insects heading their way.[69]
The Super Showdown Event[]
Mask Maker Daigo performed his ritual, aiming to achieve what he viewed as his ultimate destiny and summoned his master before being violently discarded, the Supernovas emerged into Demon's Domain with Formation Tau, consisting of the Morgan Myst, Lightrider and Killswitch and Formation Theta, consisting of Synthwave, Ziggy and Haylee Skye. The Looper and Daigo's siblings, Jade and Kendo and the other allies were also present at the scene, ready to fight the creature.
The Dark Presence's tentacle then proceeded to attack the heroes, using energy blasts to destroy them all. But through strategic use of their superpowers that they learned to master from their instructors, they're able to weaken the demon with a general weakening then fatal blows dealt by Supernovas at three specific moments, first with Synthwave and her sonic pulses, followed by Killswitch and his barrage of bullets, before Morgan finished the job with her swarm of Ravens, causing the tentacle, severely weakened, to retreat back into the portal.
Thinking they've won, their guard drops, leaving an open space for three separate tentacles to emerge from the portal, stronger than ever. With their energy pulse, the tentacles lock everyone in the air, while two of them converged their power towards the third, ready to annihilate them all in a single blast. However, the team's hope returns as Superman intervenes, cutting the tentacle that was going to attack, leaving it crashing to the ground, stopping for a second to greet The Looper before using his laser beams on the second tentacle and hitting the third one to return both of them to the Spirit Realm. He then destroyed the Spires to close the portal for good and left.
However, the cut-off tentacle outside of Demon's Domain remained alive for a time and prepared something, while the heroes know this isn't the end and that they must recover from The Shard. Jade and Kendo nevertheless celebrate the return of their brother, restored to his previous form, though he's going to need help to get back up and continue his normal life from Night Rose and the others after what happened to him. In the meantime, the dark presence tentacle's started to rot, and to spread its blood in the ground. Surrounding the area, bug holes emerge from the wounds of the tentacle, which expel small, purple glowing bugs.
Chapter 6: Season 4[]
The Supernovas allied with the O.X.R. against The Swarm, fighting together to protect the island. After The Swarm's disappearance, The Supernovas worked on the restoration of both the Supernova Academy and Utopia City, both severely damaged by the armies of the Spirit Realm.

- Not far from the orb, there is also a portal leading to a Vault.
- Season 9's slogan was "Utopia", just like the name of Utopia City.
- This was proven intentional during Update v36.10.
- Morgan, Dex and Siena all three take their hero name from their last name.
- Additionally, Morgan and Siena do not wear the Supernovas uniform.
- Morgan and Siena's last names are both derived from namesakes, mist and night respectively.
- The Supernova Academy takes up many aspects from The Imagined Order and The Seven.
- The group has been formed in order to form and train a team of heroes capable of defending Reality: The Supernovas, an aspect reminiscent of The Seven, a team of seven heroes whose goal was to defend Reality Zero.
- The second objective is to recover the Zero Shard from the Spirit Realm as well as all the others and seal them in a new Vault, to keep the Zero Point's power under control, reminding of the Imagined Order.
- Both The Seven and the Imagined Order opposed The Last Reality, while the Supernova Academy oppose the Demon Warriors, both faction being inherently evil and cataclysmic.
- Jones' office is a replica of his office at The Bridge.
- The Supernova Academy logo is reused from Fortnite: Save the World Beyond The Stellar Horizon Questline.
