Overview
Overview[]
The Demon Hunters is an alliance formed through the convergence of shared objectives among various individuals. It originated from several personal alliances, most notably between Hope and Kendo, which eventually evolved into a larger, unified group. Together, they work collaboratively to achieve their respective goals. The group was initially composed of Hope, Jones, The Looper, Kendo and Jade. The Night Rose later joined them once freed from her curse, and so did Midas after allying himself with The Looper, reluctantly admitting he would need their friends to stop Daigo and The Baron from getting the Shard.

History
History[]
Unknown Period of Time[]
The Demon Warriors played a role in the Shattering War - a conflict sparked by the River Guard[12] and Oninoshima's fear of the creation of Masks of Power by the ancestors of Daigo, Jade, and Kendo[13]. The war culminated in Nightshift Forest at a site known as Battle's End, where the Demons were defeated, the Masks of Power were shattered, and magic was banished from the Island as a protective measure. In the aftermath, the people of Oninoshima united to seal the Demons' portals, cutting off access to the Spirit Realm entirely. The Fox Clan was blamed for the Shattering War, as the masks had been crafted by their suppliers.[14]
Within the Spirit Realm, centuries ago,[15] The Night Rose trained up Shogun X's forces, before becoming a puppet to a very powerful Oni Mask controlled by him, a former friend,[16] to string her up. This "being" became known as "The Puppeteer". She's become forcefully bound - and now wishes for revenge.
Chapter 6: Season 1[]
A shard of The Zero Point arrives onto Oninoshima, alongside strangers from the island of Helios. As a result of the shard's landing, magic has re-emerged, and the abandoned portals are reopened for the demons of old to return across Oninoshima[17] - including Shogun X, the Demon Warriors' leader. Together, they threaten the Island dwellers, but in the process, gain resistance from Hope and Jones, whom have teamed up with the High Stakes Club,[18] alongside the reluctantly reunited forces of the River Guard and the Fox Clan.
Now that the Zero Point Shard has restored the magic of Oninoshima, the Shattering War begins to repeat itself - with Daigo determined to continue work on the magical masks of old through dark magic and his ownership of The Thousand Faces[19] to harness the power needed to enter the Demon Warriors' Spirit Realm for himself.[20]
Bushranger sets up base at Nightshift Forest, blowing bubbles and caring for the place after finding a fascination with the Sprites.[21]
Facing the threat of demon invasion, Bushranger promises Kendo[5] and Jade to protect the forest.[6] Upon seeing their old friend, The Looper, they work together to return the sun to the forest and end the era of darkness for good.[22] Hope has a prophetic vision of a Splinter from a comet.[23]
Kendo's Calling[]
Later, Kendo, one of Hope's new associates, enlists the help of The Looper to investigate the resurgence of demons on the Island. The Looper agrees and begins hunting the Demon Warriors.
They are soon contacted by Kendo's sister: Jade, who is also working with Hope. The latter seeks to learn more about the Island's magic. After helping her place Spirit Charms across the Island, The Looper collects demon essence to study their nature and delivers it to Hope. Hope reveals she is searching for an artifact akin to Pandora's Box,[24] stating she wasn't surprised by the island's current situation - suspecting it to be connected with the reawakening of Oninoshima's myths and ancient magic, as well as the demons.
Later, The Looper travels to Battle's End alone to investigate the return of magic. Sensing ancient magical resonance, they deduce it is connected to the demons, their rage, and the Spirit Realm. They conclude that something ancient and powerful is stirring the Island's magic.[25]
Jade & The Mask[]
Sometime after, Kendo calls upon The Looper once more - reporting that Jade is missing.[26] He suspects their older brother: Daigo, is involved as he has been experimenting with dark magic.[27] Kendo claims to have seen Jade through a portal but dismissed it as a hallucination. However, when The Looper looks through the portal, they also see her - and hear her mention a shard.[28]
Kendo sends The Looper to investigate Daigo's shop: The Thousand Faces, where they discover an underground hideout. Inside, they find various masks imbued with traces of dark magic, a painting of Daigo giving a mask to Jade, and a machine pulsing with dark energy. They notably examine a Sprite cage, a worrying sight to The Looper,[29] as well as a broken Mask of Power from long ago - though Kendo warns The Looper that the mask should never be repaired, for both of them view the masks as dangerous[30] - thus Kendo stays away from using them, similarly to Mizuki.
Upon confronting Daigo, The Looper learns that Jade had actually been cursed by the demons, and that Daigo created a mask to protect her.[8] However, the mask amplified her powers, trapping her in the Spirit Realm. Despite his regrets, Daigo insists he made the mask to keep her safe.[31] Upon gathering all the information they could, The Looper reports their findings back to Kendo. Nyanja seems worried about Jade[32] and Doughberman can be found at Twinkle Terrace battling demons.
Splinters of Possibility[]
With the help of Kendo and Hope, The Looper investigates the crater left by the comet, obtaining 3 spinters from it. They then forge Splinter Blades using them and defeat The Puppeteer, temporarily freeing The Night Rose from it's hold. Relunctantly, they deliver the Splinter Blades to her, with her promising she knows how to give them to, and remarking they could save her as well as Jade. She does however mention the caveat that she is not truly free yet, not until her captor is defeated for good. She refuses to elaborate on the comet past "It's not a comet" until she is freed permanently.
Godzilla, a Titan and King of the Monsters, emerges from a Rift Gate in the ocean and destroys the nearby bridge. This worries Hope, The Looper and Nyanja. Nyanja and The Looper work together to discover Monarch's secrets and plant Kaiju detection beacons to monitor the Titan. Meanwhile, Hope gets to work on planting Godzilla Evacuation Shelter signs, and asks The Looper to take down Godzilla once he emerges.[33] Doughberman and Jones relocate to the now-shattered bridge, fighting demons together.
The Spirit Realm[]
With the shattered bridge slowly being repaired, Jones and Doughberman relocate to Hopeful Heights and Masked Meadows respectively. A short while later, Doughberman enlists the help of The Looper to aid in defeating some demons that have been appearing in Masked Meadows. Hope enlists The Looper's help once more, urging the Looper to find where the comet went. After picking up some readings, she deduces it's located somewhere within the mountains, after investigating further she realizes it was taken to the Spirit Realm through a now-frozen over portal.
After Kendo is brought up-to-date, he suspects that Daigo is secretly planning to use that portal to save Jade from the Spirit Realm, hoping to undo the damage he's done. Kendo also reveals that The Night Rose had given the splinter blades to Daigo[34] and decides to leave Daigo alone and not interfere with his efforts.
Hope requests the Looper to damage Shogun X to collect his Essence, after analyzing his essence, Hope reveals that he's so powerful due in part to the comet[35], which Hope reveals to the Looper is a shard of the Zero Point, a powerful object she has never seen herself but has heard of from Jones.

Daigo heads to the frozen Spirit Realm portal with the Splinter blades of The Zero Point granted to him by The Night Rose.[36] He begins his plans to free Jade from the Spirit Realm for good, determined to not let anybody stop him.[37]

Utilizing his chaos magic, Daigo sits upon a magical orb-like aura and activates one of his six powerful masks onto the portal, causing him to be able to feel its power.[38] However, an unidentified being, perhaps an illusion cast by something, tried to trick Daigo by taking the form of Jade, but failed.[39] During this time, Daigo talked with several persons, including Hope, telling her they're similar as well as Jones, asking him about his motivations. He also began to feel a dark presence in the spirit realm and asked The Night Rose what it was.

As Daigo's ritual progresses, he continues to be tormented by an entity taking the form of Jade. However, he refuses to be deceived by it. He warns his brother and The Looper about the dark presence lurking within the Spirit Realm, describing it as powerful and filled with malice. During a conversation with Jones, Daigo speaks about his motivations regarding the Shard, while also confiding in Hope about the immense pressure he feels from being "special." [40]

Later, the entity resembling Jade ceases its torment, but Daigo reveals to The Looper and Kendo that the dark presence has begun speaking to him. This mysterious being appears to know him, his family, and his entire bloodline. Through this revelation, Daigo comes to understand that Shogun X, who had previously bound The Night Rose, is himself bound to that dark force. [41]
Driven by pride, Daigo believes he alone is strong enough to face the darkness within the Spirit Realm, a conviction he shares with The Night Rose. [42] He later confesses to Hope that, as the eldest son and a genius, he feels responsible for fixing everything. In his ongoing discussion with Jones, he acknowledges the seductive power of the Shard and questions whether Jones is truly capable of resisting its influence, subtly revealing his own doubts about him. [43]
As the ritual nears its conclusion, Daigo shares his plan with Kendo and speaks about what he intends to do afterward. He then confides in Hope, expressing his sense of responsibility not just for his family but also for The Island, noting that she likely feels the same way. Turning to Jones, he challenges him, asking whether he will lock away the power of the Shard or use it for his own ends. In a conversation with The Night Rose, Daigo reflects on how, in another life, they might have been allies—or even friends. On the final day, Daigo speaks with Hope, questioning whether they will be friends or enemies in the near future. He then bluntly tells Jones that he does not trust him and refuses to let him near the Shard. Before the confrontation begins, he asks The Night Rose to watch over his siblings. Later, Daigo gifts The Looper magical items for battle, as his Chaos magic thrives on conflict.
The Confrontation Event[]
Armed with the Kintsugi Mask forged from the six other masks of the ritual, and the Splinter Blades crafted from the splinters of The Zero Point by The Looper and granted to him by The Night Rose, Daigo unfolds its magic in the the Spirit Realm portal to pull Jade back into the physical world. However, before he can succeed, Jade is violently dragged back into the Realm, and Shogun X emerges from the portal to stop him. Shogun X seizes Daigo by the face, triggering the power of his mask, which causes both of them to grow into towering forms. Shogun X then brutally assaults Daigo, absorbing energy from those around him through his Void magic and the open Spirit Realm portal. Despite the overwhelming power difference, Daigo seizes an opening and strikes back.
A fierce battle of swordplay and magic unfolds, with Shogun X maintaining the upper hand. When Daigo abandons his blades and attempts to use his Explosive Screaming Masks, Shogun X skillfully dodges and lands a devastating slash, mortally wounding him. As Daigo struggles, Shogun X grabs him by the mask and begins absorbing energy once more, preparing to finish him. In a last, desperate move, Daigo fuses his Splinter Blades into one and slashes through Shogun X's arm, freeing himself. With a final, decisive strike, he cuts through his enemy, dealing a fatal blow. Shogun X's accumulated energy erupts in a violent explosion, tearing through the portal and sending a shockwave that blasts Daigo away. In the aftermath, the Spirit Realm portal glows gold, releasing waves of radiant energy. Freed from the dark presence, Jade finally escapes.
Epilogue[]
Jade is finally freed and immediately asks to see The Looper to discuss what comes next. She reveals that demons tried to break her but ultimately failed. However, she warns that the Dark Presence now possesses the Shard and has a plan. She expresses doubt that either of her brothers is strong enough to stop it, though she is particularly concerned for Daigo. She also reveals that the Dark Presence seeks to claim everyone—but especially Daigo—though she does not yet understand why. Meanwhile, The Night Rose is freed from her curse and begins considering training new warriors, just as she once did for Shogun X's army before he bound her. However, both she and Jade caution The Looper about the golden energy emerging from the portal, warning that it will bring greed, conflict, and chaos.
As Kendo celebrates Jade's return, he feels indebted to The Night Rose and asks how he can repay her. At the same time, the siblings attempt to convince Daigo that he has done enough, fearing that his reckless pursuit of his goal will lead to disaster. Kendo, for the first time, fully understands that Daigo is not just a frustrated genius—he is someone who has spent his life protecting his siblings at any cost. Elsewhere, Hope and Jones prepare for dark and dangerous times ahead now that the demons have the Shard. The Night Rose shares their concerns, while Jones, for now, chooses to trust her. On the side of the Demon Warriors, a new Shogun is elected to take the place of Shogun X. In a chilling display of loyalty, the new leader not only continues Shogun X's mission but also takes up his very name, ensuring his legacy of war endures. Just like his predecessor, he was empowered.
Chapter 6: Season 2[]
Hope is working on a plan to enter the Spirit Realm and battle demons in order to reclaim the Zero Point Shard. When The Looper asks if she has found her purpose, she reveals that since Jones took her under his wing, she hopes to do the same if she ever meets someone like herself. She becomes curious as to how Midas went from her reality to Reality: 783, but has heard stories to not trust him.
Meanwhile, Jade confides in The Looper that she has a connection to Sprites, allowing her to understand their feelings and communicate with them. She also reveals a strange sensation—she feels a slow heartbeat alongside her own, which she believes to be the heartbeat of the Island itself. Despite this bond, her main concern remains Daigo, fearing that his growing obsession with the darkness he encountered in the Spirit Realm will consume him.
The Night Rose has now officially joined the group and is working alongside Jones, searching for information in old books. However, she struggles with loneliness, as her past as a demon and former enemy makes it difficult for others to trust her. She warns The Looper of a growing darkness at the heart of the Island, a threat they may not yet fully understand. In a discussion with The Looper, Vengeance Jones shares his belief that multiple Zero Point Shards may exist. However, for now, the group's focus remains on reclaiming the one currently in the hands of the Demon Warriors.
On Kendo's side, he is at Shogun's Solitude, where he and The Brat are engaged in battle against Fletcher Kane's forces. When speaking with The Looper, he describes a strange, familiar feeling—one that always arises when Daigo starts a new “project”. He notes that Daigo's projects tend to leave chaos in their wake, hinting at the potential consequences of whatever Daigo is planning next. When the Alpha Guards, whom use void tears, are defeated, Kendo notices that they have masks of power like those of Daigo's masks.[44]
Daigo's Fate Event[]
Jade would ultimately be proven right, as Midas and the Demon Hunters have failed to stop Daigo from falling to the thrall of the Spirit Realm portal. Disaster had struck, for once Daigo had ran into the portal, he was met by a Gold Oni Mask that corrupted his being into a new Demon Warrior.
Galactic Battle[]
Episode I: Imperial Takeover[]
Following the arrival of the Death Star, Luke Skywalker and the rest of the Resistance arrived on Oninoshima to help the residents survive the galactic threat. Most of The Resistance set up their Resistance Base while the Clone Troopers set up their own Outpost Enclave and began working as a unified effort in spite of the Empire's new allies. Luke, determined to enlist new allies, tells Leia that people such as Hope, Jones and The Looper will be good to recruit.
Meanwhile, The Looper has been watching Poe Dameron's squadron flying and was approached by the latter, asking if they were a spy, or if they wanted to join. After passing the flight tests, Dameron granted them membership in his squadron alongside Pilot's wings, making The Looper an official member of The Resistance's military henceforth.
Going to investigate, The Looper discovers the Rebels' Data Log Entries, where they mainly learn how some of the rebels are discouraged by seeing how outgunned they are, while another log talks about rumors concerning a major counteroffensive move against The Empire. Later, infiltrating Vader Samurai's Solitude, they discover Imperial Data Log Entries from its Stormtroopers, some of whom are alarmed by the number of people dancing on the island, others are worried about being stuck there, and one of them experienced and was terrified by one of the Rift-To-Go's. However, one of the logs mentions that Emperor Palpatine is interested in the "junk" of Oninoshima. The Stormtroopers don't really know why this is the case, but if they find anything interesting they will report it to the Emperor as soon as possible.
Episode II: The Pull of the Force[]
The Sith Lord Darth Maul, as well as the Jedi Master Mace Windu both emerge and intervene in the conflict. General Grievous opposed Windu and his troopers, aiming to collect as many Lightsabers of Fallen Jedi[45] as possible, awarding a great weapon[46] for those who help him.[47] Darth Maul's involvement remains unclear, however it is known that Maul wants to express his wrath on the Jedi.[48]
The Looper meets up with Leia Organa. She sought after a rebel loyalist to formulate a plan on how to figure out why The Empire has taken a detour to Oninoshima, so they team up discover the truth. Through The Resistance's team of spies, they know to search for a hidden Empire cache, which the Looper was able to find by hotwiring a cannon into a mountain. Viewing them as an honorary rebel, Leia becomes even more determined to find the brave and skilled allies that this Island has after hearing what the Empire has planned.
Meanwhile, the Looper meets up with and impresses Han Solo by beating his score and taking out a few Stormtroopers. They are successfully able to befriend him, with Han telling them to lead the way when it matters.
Likewise to Han, the Looper meets up with Luke Skywalker for a training session. They accept that they must face their fears, their anger, their doubt, all in pursuit of greatness. Impressed, Luke feels as if they possess the heart of a Jedi, and invites them to train some more with him if they so wish.
Jar Jar Binks meets The Looper and informs them of how he wants the morale of the Clone Troopers to be boosted for the war effort. To do so, he has them bring freshly-caught fish back to them. While there, he quests they spray paint their outposts to make them look, as he puts it, "pretty". These sprays highlight their brave warrior deeds, which succeeds in boosting their morale.
Chewbacca arrives on the Island and gets to work with assisting the Rebels in facing the Imperial threat, attacking their Outposts and bringing along Wookiee Bowcasters for the battle as well.
Episode III: Mandalorian Rising[]
The Mandalorian Warriors expect honor, loyalty, and strength, whether among themselves, but also from their allies. However, they suspect that their most recent allies and employer, the Galactic Empire, betrayed them and their agreement. Ironically, the mercenaries recruits another mercenary, The Looper, in an effort to find proof of this speculated betrayal. Infiltrating Outposts to dig into the Empire's data, The Looper found irrefutable proof of their betrayal, as well as a plan that the Mandalorians deemed completely dishonorable once informed by The Looper. Finding an honorable trust within The Looper, they break their contract with the Empire and turn against them, therefore joining The Resistance.
Meanwhile, over at The Resistance Base, the rebellion gears up for their ultimate plan to stop the Empire. They ultimately conclude that the best way to achieve victory would be by striking the heart of the issue, the armies invading the island, by infiltrating the Death Star. They utilize their holotables to project the Death Star and discuss their battle plans.
Episode IV: Star Destroyer Bombardment[]
As per Vader's orders, a Star Destroyer was deployed to bombard The Resistance and their allies. In the meantime, Emperor Palpatine ordered the Death Star's superlaser to be charged to decimate the Oninoshima Island.
According to their intel, the Death Star's superlaser will be charged in around a week's time, leaving them only a short window to execute their infiltration plan. Leia Organa upgrades her Rebel Outpost with extra landing pads and rebel technology, with everybody preparing for the effort of infiltrating and sabotaging the Death Star itself from within, saving the Island from the Emperor's might for good.
Death Star Sabotage[]
After a successful assault on Star Destroyers around the Death Star, Hope, Jones, The Looper and their resistance allies successfully infiltrate the Death Star. Some disguise themselves as Stormtroopers, while others pose as prisoners, allowing them to slip past Imperial forces undetected. Once inside, they sabotage the tractor beam systems and other critical technologies, significantly reducing the Death Star's threat level—provided their mission succeeds.
Meanwhile, Fishstick attempts to experiment with a Rift-To-Go in space—an untested maneuver. The device caus him to vanish from the group and makes it appear in space, outside. This sabotage effort serves as the core of the resistance's inside operation, while the Blue Squadron maintains communication with Jones and Hope to coordinate their bombing run.
After disabling the Death Star's laser cannons, to allow Blue Leader's Tie Fighter Squadron to do their move, the team is soon confronted by a pair of Stormtroopers. Jones tries to use Jedi mind tricks, but the attempt fails, forcing the group to neutralize the enemies with conventional weapons. This is followed by a trip to the Tie Fighter ships room, with a fight against the Imperial forces. Just as escape seems within reach, a TIE Fighter crashes into the bridge, separating Hope from the rest of the team.
Trapped in what appears to be a dead end, the group faces Emperor Palpatine himself. He effortlessly deflects their attacks, disarms them using the Force, and overwhelms them with Force Lightning. With the team incapacitated and no options remaining, Jones prepares for the worst—until Hope returns just in time. She uses a Rift-To-Go to shield Jones from Palpatine's final strike. Though unsure if it would work, the gambit pays off: Jones, Hope and The Looper escapes moments before the Death Star explodes along with Fishstick and the few surviving members, falling toward the Island. However, the debris rains down on the Island, striking several places as well as the portal at Predator Peak.
Colliding with the Spirit Realm portal, the fragment triggered a powerful energy wave that hits the reality barrier surrounding Oninoshima and sends a reality wave across the Island, hitting a Battle Bus with people inside and granting superpowers. At the same time, The Looper crashed on Oninoshima, unconscious, after being hit by the powerful wave. Just like the people of the Battle Bus, they also awakened powers of an unknown nature. In the meantime, seizing the chaos, Mask Maker Daigo breaks free alongside the Demon Warriors and invades Oninoshima.
Chapter 6: Season 3[]
Following the sabotage of the Death Star, a wave of Zero Point energy resulting from the collision of a fragment of the Death Star with the Predator Peak Portal affected a group of people in the Battle Bus, granting them superpowers. Around this time, Superman arrived in Reality: 783 and saved the Battle Bus and its passengers from the imminent crash. In light of Daigo reigniting the threat of the Demon Warriors alongside his new lieutenant, Kor, Hope decided to found a superhero academy, leadings to the creation of the Supernovas.
With the help of Midas, Jones and Hope managed to fund the idea of their academy, and became its first teachers. They invited the Night Rose, Superman, and Robin to be part of the Teaching Staff. For their first students, they invited the Battle Bus group: Sun Tan Specialist (who became Ziggy), Haylee Skye, Synthwave, Lightrider, and Morgan Myst, as well as the cyborg Killswitch — who's also been empowered by the Zero Point energy wave — to form the first hero group, known as The Supernovas. Additional students such as Siena Nyte and Sonia are also studying in the academy, though they possess no apparent powers and don't seem to belong to The Supernovas. For the Third and Final group, The Looper, Kendo, and Jade act as their field agents, investigating, fighting and relaying information to Hope and the group.
