Overview
Guards[]
Alpha Guards were neutral Guards in Fortnite: Battle Royale. They were introduced during Chapter 6: Season 2.
Description
Description[]
Alpha Guards are distinguished by rank. This determines what weapons they hold and what roles they play.
- Ordinary Guards
- Alpha Guards protect the various banks, Armored Transport Convoys, and other assets owned by Fletcher Kane and
Alpha around Oninoshima. They will only shoot at the player if they either attack them, one of their Bosses, they get too close to an Alpha Vault, they break a Smash N' Grab Jewelry Case, they block their path for too long, or they aim their weapon at them for too long. Alpha Guards also patrol with an Alpha Heavy at Forecast Towers and some may even be found battling certain Characters or appear in Outlaws Story Quests. Additional Alpha Guards will Void Warp into heists when their assets are under attack, seeking to defuse active Thermite planted on their vaults if one is present. The amount of Alpha Guards responding to a Heist will vary depending on the team size.

- Convoy Guards
- Additional Alpha Guards that drive and protect three Armored Transports around Oninoshima will appear as a Mid-Match Objective. The driver, their seatmate, and the escort behind the truck on a Victory Crown Rogue or Trail Thrasher will all drop Thermite when eliminated that can be used to breach the vehicle's vault. The Alpha Guards driving their Armored Transport are immune to The Storm, will be forced to exit the vehicle if Thermite is planted on the vehicle's vault while they are active and all guards present will not attempt to defuse any active Thermite.
- Heavies
- Alpha Heavies are Shotgun wielding Mini-Bosses that only appear during Alpha Heists or at Forecast Towers, typically appearing once the second and fourth locks have been melted. Their heavier armor forces them to walk, but to counter this, they posses the ability to Void Warp towards their target when available. At least one or two Alpha Heavies are guaranteed to spawn in the Armored Train and Armored Transport Heists only on Trios and Squads respectively.
The Alpha Guards, though still drop their weapon normally, also have a chance to drop a Healing Item. To which their weapon wouldn't drop.

Trivia
Trivia[]
- The Alpha Guards use the same base model as the Demon Guards. With different headgear, less or no shoulder armor, and pistols holstered on the Heavy's frontplate.
- The Alpha Guard's Common NPC Outfit ID is Character_RobedMiner_Gold_NPC.
- The Alpha Heavy's Common NPC Outfit ID is Character_RobedMiner_Ruby_NPC.
- Because the Alpha Heavies are regarded as Bosses, they are also slightly taller.
- They will also grant the Who's the Boss? Elimination Accolade when eliminated.
- Though the Alpha Heavies cannot appear driving or seated inside the Armored Transports, they still have voicelines for being part of the convoy. Indicating they would have played a similar role to the Wasteland Elites and not exclusively be found in the Trios and Squads versions of the Heists.
- One of the Alpha Guards stationed in Yōkina Boardwalk's Smash N' Grab Jewelry Store can be seen doing Emotes while inside the store. He is the only Alpha Guard that can be observed passively performing Emotes.
- The Emotes in question are Page-Turner, Nailed It, and Amazing Cube.
