Minato Hakaru is a young vampire hunter and member of The High Stakes Club. Although he is a member, he does not share the same bond as the others and is often alone. Lucien West and Helsie don't know much about him other than him being an old friend of Joni, and his hunting methods, which are by far the harshest of the group, surpassing even Joni in this area according to the latter.[1]
He is a supporting character appearing in Chapter 6: Season 1.

In the field of monster hunting, Minato is said to have a harsh, precise and merciless nature. However, he maintains a composed demeanor towards The Looper, and demonstrates a degree of care, particularly toward Joni the Red, showing concern for her well-being despite their falling out.

Unknown Period of Time in Reality: 783[]
Minato and his best friend Joni the Red were attacked by a monster. After the attack, both emerged transformed mindset-wise and learned a lot of lessons.[2] They both became merciless hunters, though Minato grew to be more and more monstrous in his hunting to survive[3] - something that made Joni gradually lose her trust in him.[1] Minato and Joni ultimately split once Joni went on a hunt with her new best friend: Helsie.[4]
Chapter 4: Season 1[]
Minato Hakaru is the only club member left in Reality: 783 once the others are pulled to Asteria.
Chapter 6: Season 1[]
The other club members return to Reality: 783. When Minato first meets Helsie, she doesn't know why Joni lacks trust towards him,[4] though she later learns.[1]
Despite Joni's trust in him still being severed, Minato still wants her to be safe out there, discreetly asking The Looper to watch her back.[5]
