The Machinist will not attack the player on sight unless she or a Wasteland Guard are attacked, they block her path for too long, or they aim their weapon at her for too long.
The Machinist patrols the roads of the island inside her personal Lockjaw with a Wasteland Grunt in the second seat while leading a War Bus driven by a Wasteland Elite and Grunts. Her Shields are bolstered while she sits inside her Lockjaw and will not re-enter if she exits the vehicle.
She will not attack the player on sight unless she, a Wasteland Guard, or their vehicles are attacked, they get on the War Bus seats, they block her path for too long, or they aim their weapon at her for too long.
While she drives her Lockjaw all oncoming damage to the vehicle will instead be dealt to her Shields.Special Abilities

- Sentry Turret Activation
- Whenever in combat, The Machinist sets down a Sentry Turret near her current location. There can only be one Sentry Turret present at any moment and will expire after a certain amount of time passes.
- Nitro Splash Energize
- When The Machinist's Shield is depleted for the first time she will quickly consume a Nitro Splash. Increasing her movement speed and donning her mask. The Nitro effect is permanently active until she is defeated.

- When breaking obstacles, The Machinist wields the Hydraulic Slammer as her Pickaxe.
- The Machinist, along with the rest of the Wasteland Warriors are the first Bosses since The Foundation that can be aggro'd by simply blocking their patrol path.
- They are also the first Bosses that can be aggro'd by aiming a weapon at them.
- Like with all the other Wasteland Warrior Bosses, The Machinist can be Nitro Energized early without depleting her Shield.
- The Machinist is the only Wasteland Warrior Boss to not have her Ability locked behind being affected by Nitro.
- Though the filenames for her Sentry Turret Activation voicelines suggest this was originally gonna be the case before it was changed in development.

She is a supporting antagonist of Fortnite: Battle Royale, serving as is one of the secondary antagonists of Chapter 5: Season 3 alongside Ringmaster Scarr.

Personality[]
Little is known about The Machinist and her motivations. Unlike her sister, she willingly joined Megalo Don's crew, and although she doesn't seem to have a particular penchant for destruction, she helped him in his project. She does, however, believe that whoever controls the scrap controls the chaos. She also has a defiant and insolent childish side, notably when scolded by Megalo Don about the failure of her pipeline.
History

Chapter 5: Season 2[]
Megalo Don and his Wasteland Warriors, including The Machinist were attracted by Pandora's Box power on The Island after Zeus freed it.
Chapter 5: Season 3[]
The Wasteland Warriors led by Megalo Don would arrive on the Island along with the sandstorm, they immediately took control and claimed ownership of the Wasteland. Megalo Don would order The Machinist to extract Nitro from The Wasteland and build a pipeline so he could use it to fuel his ship with it and raze the Island. Hope discovered that Megalo Don plans to destroy the Island, but won't be able to launch his raid until his Leviathan ship is refueled with enough Nitro, to be able to power the Leviathan.
After hearing some chatter, Hope sent The Looper to get more information, they learns from Brite Raider and Rust that Megalo Don has been writing down some plans that feels unusual given his normal behavior and that everything is at Redline Rig. The Looper then infiltrate the Refinery, and take down a guard to get their keycard card and access Redline Rig's terminals. After sending all the data to Jones and Hope, they learn The Machinist is Megalo Don's sole competent engineer and that her mission is to build the pipeline.

While The Underground was busy searching for the Pandora's Gem, the pipeline started to make good progress, and the Warriors' plan was nearing a successful ending. However, during that time Megalo Don encountered a mysterious Wanderer who presented himself as an ally with common interest. Guiding Megalo Don and assuring him that his plan was unstoppable. However, the mysterious wanderer secretly sabotaged the pipeline of The Machinist after she finished it.
Refinery Event[]
Ready to enact his plan, Megalo Don activated his pipeline to fuel The Leviathan to finally raze the Island, only for the pipelines to be hacked by The Wanderer, who revealed himself to be Doctor Doom, which causes it to explode in a chain reaction, which also causes the rise of Pandora's Box, near Redline Rig. Megalo Don blamed The Machinist for the failure, before disappearing soon after.

After leaving Megalo Don, The Machinist came to Reality: 783
Chapter 7: Season 1[]
Seeking vacation, The Machinist came to the Golden Coast for relaxation.
