- In Chapter 5: Season 2's Launch Trailer's description on Youtube, Poseidon is called Slurpseidon. This is likely an early name for him.
- This is further confirmed by an early version of said trailer.[1]
- Prior to Chapter 5: Season 3's release, as a teaser for the season, Epic Games featured Poseidon on their twitter.[2]
- Poseidon's rarity was changed from Epic to Slurp Series in Update v29.20.
- Poseidon's Magmatic Poseidon style appears to be inspired by the colour scheme of Slap Juice Co.

Poseidon is the God of the Sea, King of the beach, and an Olympian god. He is supportive of Aphrodite and the Island in the war between Zeus and mortals, but would rather hope for beach parties to chill out.[6]
He is a supporting character in Fortnite: Battle Royale, serving as a supporting protagonist in Chapter 5: Season 2.

Poseidon is described as the friendly face of The Pantheon: relaxed, beach party-loving and is known famous for his endless stories.[6] He is friendly and caring about everyone and willing to share his strength with all.[7] He is also caring of his subjects, the sealife.[3]

Before Chapter 5[]
At an unknown point he and Phinster competed against Hades and Cerberus in a surfing competition, which Poseidon managed to win.[11]
Chapter 5: Season 1[]
The Pandora's Box had a constellation symbolizing Poseidon, in the form of a trident.
Chapter 5: Season 2[]
After Pandora's Box was opened, Poseidon came along with the other Gods who intended to punish mortals for opening it and releasing the souls of The Underworld. After arrival, he defeated a group of Society Commanders who were attacking the sea denizens.[12] He befriended The Looper and helped them prove themselves to Aphrodite to cheer her up, allowing Aphrodite to restore her fighting spirit to help the Looper stand against Zeus,[13] as well as being responsible for granting them an Olympian edict that gave The Oracle and The Looper time to prepare for Zeus' master plan: recruiting as many of the Olympians to join him as possible.[14]
Chapter 5: Season 3[]
Poseidon has abandoned the Island out into the infinite corners of reality with most of the other gods in search of a new domain to reign over now that The Pantheon is humbled and free from Zeus' tyranny.
Chapter 7: Season 2[]
Poseidon appears among inhabitants of Reality: 7021.
