Overview
Gifting is a Mechanic in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was introduced in Season 6. It allows players to purchase in-game content with V-Bucks and real-money purchases for the different passes and send it to their friends as gifts.

- 2FA must be enabled. More details here.
- Players must reach level 2 or higher.
- The recipient must be on the sender's Friends list for at least 2 days.
- Battle Pass gifting will be turned off towards the end of the season.
- If the Battle Pass gift token is not sent by the end of the season, it will be converted to
1,000 V-Bucks. - After a gift is sent, the recipient must log in to receive it.
Usage[]
Players can select a specific cosmetic item from the Item Shop and choose to send it to another player. Players can personalize the appearance of the Gift Box for the recipient to add a personal touch to the gift.
In addition to cosmetics, it is possible to gift the Battle Pass, OG Pass, Music Pass, and LEGO® Pass, but this will cost the player real money instead of V-Bucks.
Limitations[]
- All gifts are non-refundable.
- To ensure a gift is sent to the right friend, search for their Epic Games display name.
- Gifting is limited to 5 gifts a day for every 24 hours, based on the time of the sent gift.
- For example, if a gift is sent at 9:00 PM, 1 gift reset occurs, allowing another gift to be sent at 9:00 PM the next day.
- The following cannot be gifted:
- Battle Passes using V-Bucks (only via real-money transactions)
- V-Bucks
- Battle Pass Levels
- Real-money Offers (except Battle Pass)
- Items that are not currently in the Item Shop
- Some additional offers such as Battle Pass Level bundles and Fortnite Crew
- Event Pass
- Dynamically Priced Bundles where the receiving player already owns 1 or more Items.

When Gifting, players will receive the option to choose a Gift Box. There are 4 default Gift Boxes, with an additional Gift Box being unlocked based on the season theme.
