Boss Items[]

Cube Assassin used one of the following weapons to attack players and dropped it after being eliminated. She also dropped a Healing Item.

Behavior[]

During a number of Sideways Encounter variants, Cube Assassin has a 50% chance to appear. And will attack players on spawn.

Unlike Sideways Monsters, she can leave the Sideways bubble and she will only disappear when the Anomaly closes. Eliminating Cube Assassin will grant a large quantity of score and she will respawn as a Ghost for a short time when eliminated by the player.

Back Bling[]

• The Cubist Back Bling on Cube Assassin is a weak point, hitting it will count as a headshot.
• Her Back Bling has 3 possible colors: Purple, Orange, and Gold, which will indicate the rarity of the weapon that Cube Assassin will drop.

Special Abilities[]

• Polygonal Barrier
  • The Cube Assassin puts her weapon away and conjures a polygonal barrier. The barrier has 500 HP and she remains in place until 6 seconds has passed.

• Zero Crystal Dash
  • Under certain circumstances, Cube Assassin would have the Zero Point Crystals effect, which allows her to teleport short distances and dash through builds.

Trivia[]

• Cube Assassin's Boss Outfit ID is CID_NPC_Athena_Commando_F_CloakedAssassin.
  • The Boss Outfit, named U with the description of NPC, while being a near exact copy of the release Cube Assassin Outfit complete with the same introduction season, reactivity, and set placement, notably has a unique trail when moving. Which was not carried over to the release Outfit.
• Cube Assassin's size is Much Larger than the other Bosses. Being the first Boss to establish the Much Larger size. This trait persists with her later reappearances.
• If a player were to use a Sideways Scythe against Cube Assassin in a fight, she would only have health and no shields.
• Before Update v18.20, the Shockwave Launcher had no effect on her.
• Cube Assassin is the first humanoid Boss to have an extra vulnerability point.
• Cube Assassin normally cannot be knocked when her health is drained. But with the help of a glitch that lowers her health to 100 upon spawn she can be knocked down. Complete with the Carry and Shakedown options.
  • Even more bizarre, She is still capable of using her Zero Crystal Dash while knocked.
  • If Cube Assassin is defeated during this she will not re-appear as a Character.
• On rare occasions, Cube Assassin would sometimes wield a Rare Breacher from Save the World, but would not drop it when eliminated. This was a bug and was removed in an unknown update.
• Cube Assassin was the last new Boss of Chapter 2.

Cube Assassin will always spawn on Round 2 once the timer reaches 2:54 Seconds on Horde Rush and attack players in sight. Suddenly appearing in the very center of the Storm zone.

Once eliminated Cube Assassin will drop a bountiful pile of Weapons and Consumables.

Cube Assassin also has a chance to appear on Round 2 and during the Score Attack Round of Demon Rush.

Trivia[]

• While Cube Assassin's files are preserved for Horde Rush's reruns, her Polygonal Barrier has become heavily bugged past Chapter 2: Season 8. As she will never attempt to properly summon it after appearing.
  • Additionally during Chapter 3: Season 4, her Zero Crystal Dash would play Huntmaster Saber's Rift Warp End voicelines due to his files still being present at the time.
• Unlike most other Bosses, Cube Assassin's voicelines have their volume set very low. Causing them to become very difficult to hear in-game.
