- There is an ongoing meme with the Fortnite Twitter Account in which every year, they repost an edited image of Sgt. Winter next to a festive XP icon to promote that year's Winterfest Quests, often accompanied with the caption of or variation of: “Complete festive challenges for additional XP!”

When Sgt. Winter encounters a player he will chuckle for a bit and throw a Present down near them, greeting the lucky player before continuing with his patrol until another one comes into contact with him.
He will only attack players if they deal damage to him.
Sgt. Winter patrols the roads of the island on the back of The Holiday Big Rig chauffeured by two Red-nosed Rangers.
On the road, Sgt. Winter will be stationary on the Big Rig at all times, waving on to anybody fortunate to find him. When nearby, the driver will honk rapidly until the player comes close, to which Sgt. Winter will chuckle for a bit and throw a Present down near them. After that the Big Rig will speed away as he waves goodbye.
He will only attack players if they deal damage to him, his Guards, or his vehicle.

- Sgt. Winter's Code name is "SilkWalker".
- Sgt. Winter shares his Voice Actor with his Save the World counterpart. Both being played by Darin De Paul.
- Prior to Chapter 4: Season 1, Sgt. Winter's height was unaltered, only getting taller once the Boss Heights have been standardized.
- Sgt. Winter is the first Boss:
- To ride on a Vehicle before Chapter 5: Season 3.
- To use Rare Weapons.
- To have overhead Dialogue Bubbles when hes patrolling. A trait that would become common after Chapter 5: Season 1.
- He and Krampus are the only Bosses in Chapter 5: Season 1 to not have the Enragement Ability or drop a Medallion when eliminated.
