Overview

Overview[]

Galactus is a cosmic entity who consumes planets to sustain his life force. He was once the herald of the Black Winter, before fleeing and opposing him. Galactus himself created his own heralds to seek out planets for him to devour, and announce his coming.

When the Black Winter returned in the Eighth Cosmos to claim Galactus, Galactus confronted him and lost, before briefly seeing the moment of his death, with Thor involved. He then went to Asgard, and asked Thor's help, making him his Herald. In order to face the Black Winter, Galactus had to devour 5 specific planet, holding enough energy to empower him beyond anything he ever was. However, after devouring the First planet, Galactus and Thor came across a Rift.

At the very same time, The Zero Point under the form of a Blackhole, converted the matter of Reality Zero to create a new one: Apollo and Artemis, sensing this infinite power Galactus wanted to get it for himself and traveled the Rift.

In the form that the people of Reality Zero and the Avengers see, Galactus appears a large humanoid entity, several times larger than the Island itself. The version he appeared in Fortnite appeared black and red, a form he obtains when he is in full health after devouring specific planets.

History

History[]

Nexus War: Thor[]

At Asgard, Thor is met by Galactus. Galactus warns him that the Black Winter is coming, which will destroy everything in its path. Thor agrees and becomes the Herald of Thunder. As they search for 5 Barren Planets that Galactus must consume to stop the winter, a Rift appears, leading a path to The Zero Point. Galactus heads towards the portal, but Thor rushes into the rift to warn the people of Apollo.

Chapter 2: Season 4[]

Galactus emerged from the Rift, but unlike Thor, he emerged very far from the Island, giving the it and its inhabitants some breathing space to prepare. Thor summoned several people from Earth-616 to help him protect Reality Zero and send Galactus back to Reality: 616.

At the same time that Tony Stark summoned Stark Industries, Galactus sent his forces, the Gorgers and Gatherers, to prepare for his arrival on the island.

The Devourer of Worlds[]

Eating In-Between - Galactus - Fortnite

After arriving near the Island, Galactus became active, and slowly walked closer to the it. He then shouted: "Beware...I Hunger!!!!" before hitting Helicarrier 64 out of the sky and into the water. Afterwards, he then began to absorb the Zero Point until a full reality collapse occurred. Aided by Iron Man, The Looper was put into an Upgraded Battle Bus as Galactus sent out Gorgers and Gatherers to attack the player. After being forced to consume all the Upgraded Battle Buses, he said, "No! This is not possible!" before being rifted back to where he came. After this, he was not seen again, but the Zero Point was left exposed.

Marvel/Fortnite: Zero War #1[]

The Devourer of Worlds event is seen in a flashback in the comic, with The Origin explaining that back then, Galactus took a fragment of the Zero Point, that was rifted alongside him in Reality: 616.

Chapter 5: Season 4[]

Empowered by Pandora's Box, Doom went on killing spree against Marvel Heroes and Villains, including Galactus, whose damaged helmet can be seen near Helios.

    • This seems to support that Galactus was at one point planned to be an obtainable Outfit, but was scrapped. Galactus having a unique description also seems to support this.
