Behavior
Behavior[]
At the start of a match, a red beam of light descends from the sky, dropping a Gorger onto the island. Exactly one Gorger will always spawn per match, with a chance for a second to appear.
Gorgers spawn at one of six possible locations:
- West of Holly Hedges
- West of Slurpy Swamp
- South of Salty Springs
- Lazy Lake Island
- FN Radio
- West of Retail Row
Once spawned, Gorgers remain in their general area unless they detect a nearby player, at which point they will become hostile and attack.
If a Gorger is caught inside the Storm, it will begin charging energy before launching itself back into the sky, vanishing in the same manner it appeared.
Gorgers possess high amounts of health, and defeating them requires exploiting their weak points or using special items. They can also release Gatherers, which aid them in combat.
Weakpoints
Weakpoints[]
The Gorger has several weak points that bypass its resistances when targeted.
- Two lower glowing points can be attacked at any time.
- Two temporary weak points appear whenever the Gorger releases Gatherers.
- The eye becomes a weak point while charging its main blast.
- Marvel Superpowers like Doctor Doom's Arcane Gauntlets can damage Gorgers effectively at any location.
Abilities
Abilities[]
- Eye Beam
- Charges and fires a large beam from its eye that deals approximately 50 damage. The eye glows during the charge-up phase, exposing its weak point.
- Ground Slam
- If a player is too close, the Gorger slams the ground, dealing approximately 25 damage in the area.
- Gatherer Release
- Deploys two Gatherers, which attack players with small energy blasts dealing about 10 damage each. Gatherers can be destroyed and will drop Gather Remains, which players can pick up and use as a temporary weapon against the Gorger.
