Overview
| This page is about a mechanic that has been removed from the game. |
Perks were a Gameplay Mechanic in Fortnite: Battle Royale that were introduced in Chapter 7: Season 2.
Functionality
Functionality[]
Perks are similar to Augments and Boons in that they modify gameplay in slight ways, with abilities like the ability to mark players upon damaging them. Once the player has won a certain amount of Rivalries, the Perk will be unlocked and can then be purchased from Rivalry Screens.
Perks cannot be dropped (either manually or through elimination), and do not take up an item slot in the inventory. However, unlike Boons and Medallions, Perks do not appear anywhere in the inventory.

Trivia
Trivia[]
- The Mark On Damage Perk
does not mark a target unless you have dealt health damage to them; dealing shield or overshield damage will not mark them. - Although being Mythic rarity, Perks have significantly less of an effect on gameplay than its similar counterparts of lower rarities (e.g. Legendary Medallions or Rare Boons).
- The special Augments available in Demon Rush were also called Perks.
- The two currently available Perks both function very similarly to already existing Boons:
- The Infinite Slap Perk
and Super Soldier: Rank S+ Boon
both give the player unlimited stamina through the Slap Effect. - The Mark On Damage Perk
and the unused Tracking Shot Boon
both mark enemy players upon damaging them.
- The Infinite Slap Perk
- The Infinite Slap Perk
's unlimited Slap Effect can be removed after entering one of the holograms that also grant it in Dark Dominion.
- While your stamina functions how it would without the perk, your stamina bar still remains permanently orange.
