Drop Pods are special Containers in Fortnite: Battle Royale. They were introduced in the Chapter 6: Season 4.

Functionality

Functionality[]

Drop Pods, like Supply Drops, will drop from the sky after certain events occur. Their loot table and spawning conditions depend on their type.

There are 3 distinct types of Drop Pods:

O.X.R. Rank Drop Pods[]

O.X.R. Rank Drop Pods spawn whenever a player reaches a higher O.X.R. Rank, landing very close to them and being marked once they land. Their rarity and loot table scale with higher rank levels, with S+ Rank containing unique Mythic weapons. Each O.X.R. Rank Drop Pod contains a Super Soldier Rank Boon, which coresponds with the achieved rank. The amount of O.X.R. Rank Drop Pods spawned increases with higher team sizes.

O.X.R. Base Drop Pods[]

O.X.R. Base Drop Pods spawn in a set spot at O.X.R. Bases after players successfully defeat The Swarm raid. They contain Epic rarity weapons and are guaranteed to drop Epic Slurp Juice and the Storm Forecast Boon.

Rift Pod[]

A Rift Pod spawns later into the match, in a random location within The Storm circle. It is marked by a unique icon on the mini-map. A Rift Pod contains high-tier Legendary loot and will always drop a Mythic Leadspitter 3000 and Legendary Slurp Juice.
