Crafting (Save the World)

Crafting is one of the core mechanics in Fortnite: Save the World. It allows players to craft Weapons by using Crafting Materials that they have harvested and collected.

Each weapon is associated with a specific crafting recipe. As weaponry and traps are upgraded, the next tier of that weapon's materials must be used. Every weapon of a given rarity has a distinct recipe.

Players must navigate to the Backpack in the Frontend Menu or in the Inventory menu in-game. By selecting the left column, players can find and choose the item they wish to craft. Typically, most weapons are crafted at their current level, but there is also an option to craft them at a lower tier.

As of Update v10.20, the time required to craft a weapon or trap has been standardized as follows:

Weapons craft in 5 seconds.
Traps craft in 3 seconds.
Ammo crafts in 2 seconds.
Crafted Ingredients (Blast Powder and Duct Tape) in 0.5 seconds.

Silver Ore	Epic		Crafting ingredient. Used to make many quality weapons. Found in caves, mountains and occasionally in containers in settled areas. Common in Plankerton and rare in high end Stonewood.
Malachite Ore	Epic		Crafting ingredient. Used to make many quality weapons. Found in caves, mountains and occasionally in containers in settled areas. Common in Canny Valley and rare in high end Plankerton.
Obsidian Ore	Epic		Crafting ingredient. Used to make many quality weapons. Found in caves, mountains and occasionally in containers in settled areas. Common in Twine Peaks and rare in high end Canny Valley.
Brightcore Ore	Epic		Crafting ingredient. Used to make many quality weapons. Found in caves, mountains and occasionally in containers in settled areas. Rare in high end Twine Peaks.

Batteries	Common	Crafting ingredient. Used as a component for powered devices. Found in populated areas and appliances.
Blast Powder	Uncommon	Refined crafting ingredient. Used as a base for many gadgets and explosive ammunitions. Made from coal.
