Throwdown is a Limited Time Mode in Fortnite: Battle Royale. It was introduced in Update v7.40.

In this LTM, weaponry is unavailable, and players will have to survive on Throwable Items and Consumables. Supply Drops spawn is increased in this gamemode. Each Supply Drop contains 2-3 consumables. These Supply Drops are also the only method of obtaining Launch Pads.

In this Limited Time Mode, you must keep moving at all times, in order to decrease your chances of getting hit. Also, a good strategy is to carry items that have higher max stacks. Because the main offensive items are clinger grenades, staying at over 100 health total should be a main priority. A player could even eat a single shield mushroom to survive a blast with 5 health left.
