Behavior[]

You will join the Dark Side![]

Darth Vader will primarily walk slowly towards his target when in combat. Blocking incoming fire until he gets close to swing at them with, or throw his Lightsaber, or to utilize one of his abilities. Like other Lightsabers, shooting at him enough will break his guard and stun him for a brief moment.

Shortly after getting knocked down, he will self-revive and activate a Rift Gate, to which he will offer to teach the player The Force. In this state, he is impervious to all damage. Vader will not take an apprentice for training if they had already acquired a prior Force Power from another character.

If they accept he will walk into the rift and vanish for the rest of the match, granting the player a Sith Apprentice Lightsaber, Force Jump, and Force Saber Throw. Allowing them to throw their Lightsaber at the direction they're aiming.

Special Abilities[]

• Force Pull
  • When far enough, Darth Vader may grab the target and pull them towards him. Applying the Shockwave effect to negate possible fall damage and forcing the target into Sprint to prevent them from shooting back.

  • If the target is far from Darth Vader, he may leap towards them to shorten the distance. If Vader lands at close proximity to the target's location, he would deal 15 damage on impact.

  • Darth Vader could throw any small props at his target, dealing up to 85 damage.

Trivia[]

• Darth Vader's Boss music is an arrangement of The Imperial March.
  • His Defeated stinger also contains a snippet of The Battle of Endor III. Specifically the part that plays when he is unmasked by Luke Skywalker before he passes away upon his return to the Light.
• When knocked, Darth Vader shares his animation with his classic incarnation before Galactic Battle, but notably doesn't have a Vindertech Drone teleport him away.
  • The reason behind this is due to Darth Vader being needed to teach the Force Power with the Rift Gate functionality.
  • Just like the original Darth Vader Boss, the animation is similar to how Darth Vader kneels when defeated in the DICE Star Wars Battlefront Games.
• Out of all the other Bosses, Darth Vader has the least amount of voice lines. Beating out Iron Man with only one line.
• The Rift Gate opened by Darth Vader leads to Fortress Vader on Mustafar.
