Trivia

Trivia[]

  • Dance Moves is one of the most well-known emotes in Fortnite, likely due to it being included with every account.
  • Dance Moves is colloquially known as the "Default Dance" due to the association of it with Recruit Outfits.
  • Dance Moves is based off of Christopher Turk's dance from the TV show Scrubs. Turk was dancing to Bell Biv Devoe's Poison.
  • Dance Moves is one of the few emotes to have more than one audio track play when it is activated. It currently has two audio tracks, but originally had 4.
    • The second audio track will never play on the Nintendo Switch and Mobile versions of the game, most likely because these were released later than the original game and with missing content (for example, Save the World).
      • When the Nintendo Switch version released, the second audio track always played instead, before switching to the first audio track in Update v5.00.
      • The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Fortnite added the second audio track back.
  • Dance Moves was one of only two emotes usable in Save the World before Update v10.00, the other being Ride The Pony.
  • If any non Bot human AI such as Guards or Bosses gets stuck anywhere their pathing cannot register, they will resort to doing Dance Moves until it resets and fixes itself.
