Online Test 6.5 was a build released as part of the online tests that ran from January 26, 2016 to March 1st 2016.

- Introduced Penny alongside the rest of the female constructor class.
- Introduced the Deliver The Goods mission which then became Deliver the Bomb in later builds.
- Added the ability to change difficulty when starting objectives.
- Changed the difficulty on the Stonewood Outpost amplifier defense difficulty on the 3rd, 4th and 5th amplifiers.
- Retrieve the Data now fails if the balloon is destroyed regardless of how much data has been downloaded
- Reduce Melee Weapon durability by 27.78% whilst still keeping them cheap to craft.
- Balance changes to elemental enemies.
- One element per encounter/outpost wave
- Damage resistance reduced.
- Elemental Husk vs Normal Weapons: 75% Damage Resist -> 50% Damage Resist
- Elemental Husk vs Energy Weapons: 50% Damage Resist -> 33% Damage Resist
- Elemental Husk vs Bad Element: 90% Damage Resist -> 75% Damage Resist
- Elemental Husk vs Good Element: 0% Damage Resist (Unchanged)
- Elemental Husk vs Same Element: 50% Damage Resist -> 33% Damage Resist
- Gadget and abilities loadouts are now kept across all zones.
- Selecting the Outpost from the Mission Select screen now shows the current level of each Outpost structure and their upgrade cost.
- Command Center upgrades 2, 3 and 4 now give +5 max level to all schematics and survivors. All other sources of max level increases have been removed.
- Outpost upgrade information can now be viewed from the mission select screen.

- As of April 2024, this remains the only online testing build to have been found.
- Within the game files, dataminers have found leftovers of the earliest builds of Fortnite dating back to 2011 and 2012. Whether these files still exist up to at least Season 3 is unknown.
