When idle, Zyg and Choppy plant and nurture Alien Parasite eggs. They go back and forth until an egg is hatched and needs replanting.
Zyg and Choppy will only become hostile if the player deals damage to them or their Parasites.

- Zyg and Choppy's Code name is Alien Leader, which suggests they were the leader of the Kymera assault.
- Zyg and Choppy's Boss layer music is very slightly off sync, causing it to not line up properly with the Base layer.
- Although they belong to the same faction, Zyg and Choppy cannot revive or be revived by Trespassers.
- During the first hour of Update v17.10, Zyg and Choppy was accidentally enabled along with the empty Holly Hatchery and Believer Beach. These were quickly fixed.
- The animations for Zyg Planting and Nurturing the Alien Parasite eggs are actually Emotes, "Place Egg NPC ONLY" and "Nuture Egg NPC ONLY" respectively.
