In Tales of Beyond, Jess is revealed to be pragmatic, direct and possibly a bit cynical. She expresses frustration and concern about the risks involved in finding Lok, whom she refers to dismissively as "a thing." Her critical tone and the rhetorical question about the ethics of creating a child-like robot in a warzone suggest a more skeptical and blunt personality.

Jess has a more hard-edged and questioning demeanor, if compared to Luna, who is kind-hearted and empathetic.
