B.A.S.E. (Blu-Glonium Actuated Structural Enhancer) is a   Constructor Class Perk in Fortnite: Save the World.

Functionality

B.A.S.E. can be accessed in Build Mode as any Constructor by selecting Floor Traps. It can only be placed on unedited and unoccupied Floors much like regular Floor Traps.

When a B.A.S.E. is placed the device will strengthen all nearby structures' Armor by 60 in a 4 tile radius, which is indicated by yellow hydraulic segments latched onto the corners of a building piece and connected together via a blue field.

When a B.A.S.E. is destroyed or moved all previously reinforced structures will revert back to normal.

All hero perks interacting with B.A.S.E. abilities counts towards Husk Extermination (Traps) Daily Quests and Trap-Vulnerable Mini-Bosses.

Heavy B.A.S.E. Kyle

Eliminating enemies standing on structures affected by B.A.S.E. charges B.A.S.E. After 30 charges B.A.S.E. emits an explosion which knocks back enemies and deals 39 base Energy Damage in a 3 tile Radius.

  • B.A.S.E. takes Priority on the Floor Trap selection-wheel (i.e. at the top center) when placing floor traps.
    • Unfortunately, Fortnite's history of patches and updates periodically introduces (and re-introduces) a game-breaking bug where B.A.S.E. is given LOWEST priority; thereby preventing the deployment of the B.A.S.E..
      • Game Developers' suggested workarounds are:
        1. Easiest and best solution is to always maintain less than 8 Stacks of Floor Traps.
        2. Switch the trap icon next to pyramids until it lands on B.A.S.E.
        3. Try to place a Floor Trap on an edited floor to get it to show up.

Update v3.40

  • Improvements:
    • Improved the functionality of the 'Recycling' Perk:
    • 'Recycling' will now take into account the level of the buildings near BASE.
    • Level 1 buildings are worth 1 building piece.
    • Level 2 buildings are worth 3 building pieces.
    • Level 3 buildings are worth 6 building pieces.
    • 'Recycling' now requires 3 building pieces of the same material (reduced from 5) to generate 1 of the appropriate resource.
  • Fixes:
    • Fixed issue with the 'Recycling' of the Constructor's BASE, where it could reward Wood, even when there were no Wood pieces in range of BASE.

  • B.A.S.E. re-worked:
    • B.A.S.E. is now placed like a trap, to allow constructors to use more abilities.
    • Available from the Trap Wheel.
    • Connects to structures up to 4 tiles away.
    • Increases the Armor of connected structures by 50.
    • No longer reflects damage by default.
  • Increased stability when placing Tracks and B.A.S.E. in the Builder Pro configuration.
