The Sound Wall is an Uncommon to Legendary Trap in Fortnite: Save the World.
Functionality

Upon activation, Sound Walls stun Mist Monsters and make Regular Monsters dance for a short duration of time, causing them to not be able to hit players or objectives. Additionally, it makes Sploders drop their propane tanks. It is a boom box sound system consisting of 8 subwoofers tied together. It works through walls and has a 1x1 tile range.

- General
- Sound Walls are one of two wall traps besides Wall Darts that can work through reverse stairs or slanted walls. This can be used in conjunction with Floor Launchers and Tar Pit traps.
- Floor Launchers can be used for resetting Husks dancing near your objective walls, and Tar Pit traps can be used to keep Husks from moving forward after dancing.
- Dancing Perk Loadout
- Impact and Knockback perks have no effect on the dancing mechanic.
- Husks remain in the dance state longer than standard stun duration; Effect Duration +20% does not increase dance uptime.
- Do not upgrade Reload Speed beyond Uncommon when stalling or jailing; doing so breaks optimal dance timing and makes the Sound Wall ineffective.
- Do not add Impact or Knockback perks, as this causes enemies to gain immunity to dancing, rendering the trap useless.
- Do not combine with other stun or knockback-based crowd control traps, as this also cancels the dancing effect.
- Impact Perk Loadout
- Impact only affects Mist Monsters; normal husks are automatically affected by the dance and gain no benefit from Impact.
- Enemies become temporarily "undancable" for roughly 4-5 seconds after being affected.
- Impact can be useful against Mist Monsters but is generally less effective than building for durability or control.
- Impact helps lower a husk's impact threshold for the next trap, not the current one.

Update v15.40
February 16th 2021
- Added Crowd Control Effect Limit to promote non-jail build playstyle amongst the playerbase.
- Crowd control effects such as Stuns, Knockbacks, Freezes and Tar-blocks are not as effective as they used to be.
- Enemies now gain immunity after 5 times of being affected by the listed effects.
- A 30-second timer has been added, so if an enemy is not hit by status effects before it completes, the CC counter will reset to 0.
- Example: The same Husky Husk will be immune to being frozen or stunned, etc if it has already been frozen 5 times by a Floor Freeze Trap before.
