- Ash's description references his struggle with reciting the phrase "Klaatu verata nikto" in Army of Darkness.
- Ash's comment when purchasing a Lever Action Shotgun from him comes from a quote he said in Evil Dead II. "Old double-barrel here, blow your butts to Kingdom Come!"
- Ash's comment when requesting a patch up from him is a reference to his severed hand in Evil Dead II.
- Ash's reaction to Brainiac is a reference to the Deadites while his reaction to Skull Trooper could be a reference to the skeletons from Army of Darkness.
- Ash's reaction to himself is a reference to Evil Ash in Army of Darkness.
- Ash's reaction to Spider-Gwen is a reference to Sam Raimi's Spider-Man, in which Bruce Campbell (who played Ash Williams in the Evil Dead saga) plays a ring announcer.
