Midas' Chair

Midas, the original owner of The Agency, controller of the Golden Touch, owns two distinct chairs that both made their first appearances in Chapter 2: Season 2 in different places inside The Agency. Since then, they have reappeared throughout the Fortnite: Battle Royale storyline, often as easter eggs to vigilant fans, and rarely having any consequential impact on any overall plot.

The term "Midas' Chair" may refer to either of the two chairs.

The first is a cushy black and gold throne, originally found inside his room in The Agency.
The second is a fully gold chair akin to that of standard faction chairs, originally found in the C2S2 story trailer, and at the head of the meeting room, also inside The Agency.

Both are often mistaken for each other, and both have made reappearances since their original introduction.

Update v12.00[]

The fully gold chair is originally at the head of the meeting room inside The Agency.
Midas' room in The Hideout is the original location of the black/gold chair, with its back facing the overlook of the Device.

Update v12.10[]

The gold chair has been seemingly stolen from the meeting room and brought west across The Agency's waters on a canoe. Nearby the boat, a truck has appeared in-between two bushes with a rope, indicating a planned plot to heist the chair away. The spot could have been found by following a muddy trail to the culprit location.

Update v12.20[]

Midas' fully gold chair has been fastened to the truck with rope likely stolen from The Yacht, and it has driven from The Agency into Salty Springs, leaving only the boat between the bushes. It has a cover over the objects in the back of the truck, and could have been tracked with the mud trail it once again left behind.

Update v12.30[]

The truck has parked and unloaded in front of the blue house at Salty Springs. The golden chair is now housed inside on the second floor, replacing an officer chair in front of a desk. Alongside the chair the various other GHOST-related paraphernalia and littered inside, minus a single "Join GHOST" poster found in the trash outside the house.

Update v12.50[]

Midas' golden chair in the blue house in Salty Springs has crashed through the second floor onto the first floor through another desk.

Update v13.00[]

Following the flood, Midas' fully gold chair had been moved from its previous location in Salty Springs into a storage locker in No Sweat Storage. The blue house was repaired prior to the flooding.
The black/gold chair is nowhere to be found.

Update v13.20[]

July 18th - No Sweat Storage was removed from the map as the water level from the flood had gone down completely. The golden chair has disappeared for the first time.

Update v14.30[]

The gold chair is moved for storage into the top floor in The Authority. SHADOW-related paraphernalia surround it.

Update v14.40[]

Midas' golden chair can be found floating and surrounded by candles, in a seance-manner, now above the top floor in The Ruins. It is implied it was used in some capacity for the summoning/appearance of Shadow Midas.

Update v14.50[]

The chair, and all the candles surrounding it, have disappeared.

Update v15.00[]

There was a small chance that an IO Elevator would spawn with Midas' fully gold chair inside of it.

Operation: Sky Fire[]

Midas' black/gold chair, along with related golden items of his, could have been spotted inside The Mothership.

The Big Bang[]

Midas' black/gold chair, along with TNTina's propane, Toy Meowscles, Loot Shark and the X-4 Stormwing, could have been spotted inside a golden galaxy near the end of the event.

Update v28.00[]

The black/gold chair from The Hideout can be found in the top-most floor of Cloistered Castle. It is one of many props from Chapter 2: Season 2 to be found across Helios.
