Rift Encounters are random events that can happen during the day time in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey's world.

Rift Encounters function similar to Rift Encounters in Battle Royale, as they can happen anywhere on the world; when triggered, it will be signaled by a loud sound and something rifting nearby. The encounter that has rifted in has a chance to have loot and might also have a Character appear to give the location more context. The character is either Passive or Hostile and mostly cannot be interacted with directly while they move around the encounter's location to do different emotes and comment about the situation rifted in.
