- Black Panther would've been released in Chapter 2: Season 4 alongside all the other Marvel characters teased in the Fortnite comic variants, but all of his content besides Black Panther's Kinetic Armor and Panther's Prowl were pushed to the following season.
- This was likely due to the sudden passing of American actor Chadwick Boseman, who portrayed the character's Marvel Cinematic Universe incarnation, just the day after the season's debut.[1]
- The focus on Black Panther in the Marvel: Royalty & Warriors Pack cinematic and the Wakanda Forever Quests are heavily implied to be a tribute to the late actor.
