The First Shadows is a group of operatives that were recruited by Midas as the first step of his empire of espionage, intrigue, and conquest. They are the very first members of SHADOW as well as Midas' first and most secret operatives.

The First Shadows acts as a secret SHADOW unit that no member knows about. Two of its members The Burning Wolf and Chaos Agent were believed to be respectively a legend and a tale. The members of The First Shadows remained hidden for a very long time, only emerging for the first time during Chapter 2: Season 7 and Chapter 2: Season 8, period when Midas disappeared mysteriously. However, Chaos Agent was shown to be very active in the shadows, acting as one of SHADOW's effective leader as Chaos Director entrusted him with her duties.

Chapter 2: Season 8[]
As The Burning Wolf brings himself to light, Chaos Agent steps out of his lair and Sierra avenges her past from the Shadows, The First Shadows meet again.

- The Burning Wolf was part of an unknown ancient kingdom, as a knight. Just like Midas was a king of the ancient kingdom of Phrygia.
- Chaos Agent is a mastermind with great scientific knowledge and who is always scheming, just like Midas.
- Sierra seeks revenge, just like Midas.
- All members, except Sierra, were once believed to only be fictional characters—figures from myths, legends, and tales:
- Midas: The king from Greek mythology doomed by his own greed, he is cursed with the Golden Touch.
- The Burning Wolf: Regarded as a legend among soldiers, his story is often used to instill fear in fresh recruits.
- Chaos Origins: A character from The Final Reckoning Tales, a collection of dark and mysterious stories.
