The Combat Cache is a Container in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was added in Chapter 4: Season 2.
Functionality
Functionality[]
Combat Caches are a unique container which spawn similarly to the Supply Drop. They appear out of a rift in the sky and hit the ground in a random location, notifying all nearby players with a map icon and on-screen indicator. It has a visible beacon in the color of the rarity of its contents. A player can interact with it to claim the contents, after which a timer will begin until it opens. After the timer ends, it will drop at least 2 weapons, consumables, and materials. The rarity will start as Legendary, then Epic and finally Rare the longer it is left unclaimed. As of Chapter 5: Season 1, they only spawn Rare loot.

| Feel free to add tips, tricks and general advice about the topic. |
- Claiming a Combat Cache in the open can be dangerous, but if you get to it first, you can defend it from a hidden spot until it opens.
- If you spot a Combat Cache, you can get to a high point and eliminate players trying to claim it, instead of trying to claim it yourself first.
