Overview
Schematics are items in Fortnite: Save the World which serve as a "data package" for Weapons and Traps.
Overview
Overview[]
A schematic is a package which contains information about a specific item, which includes Stats, Rarity, Name, Crafting, and Perk Configuration. Schematics can be only obtained through the Exchange, Llama Pinatas and Quest Rewards. Schematics can also be configured to a player's liking and a player can have more than one schematic of a specific item.
Schematics are the only source through which players can craft weapons. Crafting a weapon takes the weapon's schematic (If available) and uses all the data of the schematic at that time to craft the weapon into the player's backpack. Modifying a schematic does not change the weapon if it is the backpack of the player. A list of your schematics is shown on the left hand side of the backpack and grayed-out schematics cannot be crafted either due to less inventory space or not having enough materials to craft them.
Configurability[]
- Level: Upgrading a Schematic by level changes the damage of the item by 5% of its base damage (0.05x multiplier). Evolving a weapon changes the base damage of the item.
- Rarity: The rarity of an item can be upgraded by changing the rarity of the schematic via a resource known as Flux.
- Perks: Using RE-PERK! and PERK-UP!s, can change the perk configuration of a specific schematic, though some may have slots that are unchangable without Core RE-PERK!.
