Honey is a Crafting Ingredient in Fortnite: Save the World that is currently unreleased. It was present in the Alpha version of the game, would be acquired via Expeditions or harvesting trees during missions.
Honey was accidentally granted to players as part of a compensation following an inventory-wipe bug.
Epic Games has stated that even if an additional tier were to be added, new crafting materials would be used instead of reusing Honey.[1]
It was later added to Fortnite: Creative in Update v19.30.
