Overview


The Note Sequencer is a Device in Fortnite: Creative.

Set up melodic patterns that you can output to the Patchwork Instrument Player, Omega Synthesizer, or other Patchwork devices. This is usually first in a Patchwork device chain.

Option Value Description
Step Rate 1/8 Note, 1 Bar, 1/2 note, 1/4 note, 1/16 note, 1/32 note, 1/64 note Sets the speed at which the Note Sequencer moves through steps.
Timing Style Straight, Triplet, Dotted Selects the style for the chosen Sync Timing. "Straight" will output at the Step Rate, "Triplet" will output in a shuffle feel at two thirds of the Step Rate, and "Dotted" will output in a syncopated feel at one and a half times the Step Rate.
Page 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 Select which page is shown and played on the Note Grid. Each page can contain its own pattern of notes.
Octave 3, 0 - 6 Shifts the octave up or down for the entire sequence of notes.
Length 8, 2 - 16 Sets the number of steps per page.
Looping On, Off When set to OFF, the sequencer will play through its pattern once when enabled, then return to its disabled state.
Auto Page Off, On Toggles whether the sequencer cycles through every populated page, or remains on the current page only.
Auto Page Plays Blank Pages Off, On When enabled, Auto Page will include blank pages when cycling through pages automatically.
Grid Height 8, 4 - 13 Determines the vertical height of the Note Grid so that more or fewer notes are available.
Monophonic On, Off When set to Off, allows multiple notes to placed on the same step of the Note Grid.
Chromatic Off, On When set to ON, allows semitones to be placed on the Note Grid. Semitones are a smaller musical interval.
Allow Cable Access On, Off Determines if the Patchwork Tool can access any cable input or output ports on the device.
Enabled On Phase Always, None, Gameplay Only, Pre-Game Only Determines the game phases during which the device will be enabled. Pre-game includes all phases prior to start of the game (like the pre-game lobby or countdown to start of game.)
