Overview

The Cinematic Sequencer is a Device in Fortnite: Creative.

This Device is only accessible in the Unreal Editor.

Option Value Description
Sequence None, Select a Level Sequence The Level Sequence asset that contains the cinematic content to play back.
Loop Playback False, True When enabled, this cinematic device will loop continuously until stopped.
Restore State False, True When enabled, any changes to the level made by this cinematic will be restored when it is stopped.
Auto Play False, True When enabled, this device will automatically begin playing based on the desired minigame state.
Auto Play Minigame State Pre Game, Setup, Transitioning, Waiting for Cameras, Warmup, In Progress, Post Game Time Dilation, Post Round End, Post Game End, Post Game Abandon, Post Game Reset, Teardown When Auto Play is enabled, use this minigame state to auto play.
Visibility Instigator Only, Instigator's Team, Everyone Defines the context(s) in which this device will play back.
Level Sequence Actor Always Relevant True, False Flag specifying whether the device should always be relevant for networking. When disabled, this device's playback will only be replicate to clients when it is relevant based on proximity.

Option Description
Play When Receiving From Initiate playback of this cinematic sequence.
Pause When Receiving From Pause playback of this cinematic sequence at its current time, if it is playing.
Stop When Receiving From Stop playback of this cinematic sequence, if it is playing. This will potentially restore its state, if the 'Restore State' option is enabled.
Toggle Pause Function When Receiving From Pause the device if playing, play it if paused.
Events
Option Description
On Stopped Send Event To Stop playback of this cinematic sequence, if it is playing. This will potentially restore it

Definitions

Definitions[]

  • Pre Game: No game has started yet.
  • Setup: Setting up players.
  • Transitioning: Moving players to starting positions, waiting for important actors to replicate, and potentially waiting on nav mesh to generate.
  • Waiting for Cameras: Allow clients time to turn cameras back on.
  • Warmup: Countdown.
  • In Progress: Playing.
  • Post Game Time Dilation: After the game during dilation.
  • Post Round End: Round ended naturally but the game is continuing.
  • Post Game End: Game ended naturally.
  • Post Game Abandon: Game was abandoned forcefully.
  • Post Game Reset: The minigame and island is currently resetting
  • Teardown: The minigame is being destroyed.
