The Defender Post is a Rare Trap in Fortnite: Save the World that can be used to spawn a Defender. It can be obtained by completing the Rescue the Survivors Main Quest in the Stonewood Campaign.
Functionality
Functionality[]
Interacting with a Defender Post displays a list of Defenders owned by the player. Selecting one prompts the player to select a Weapon and its corresponding Ammo based on the Defender's class. Defender Post Schematics cannot be upgraded.
- Defender Posts can only be placed on fully built player floor tiles, provided there are no obstructions.
- Defenders patrol a 3x3x3 tile area centered on the Defender Post, as long as there are no obstacles in their path.
- Defenders can be summoned in any standard mission, but they are removed for each additional player—meaning a full team leaves no room for Defenders.
- In 4-player missions, however, up to 4 Defenders can be deployed regardless of the number of players.
- A player can summon up to 3 Defenders max. The 4th one has to be placed by a teammate, if need be.
- This limit cannot be upgraded, and does not apply to Storm Shield Defenses, where a different, upgradeable Storm Shield Defender limit is applied.
