Bubble Effect is a gameplay mechanic in Fortnite: Battle Royale. It was introduced in Chapter 2: Season 7. It is a mechanic that is designed to aid players’ movement.
Functionality
Functionality[]
Currently, the only way to get Bubble Effect was by touching Hologram Pads located at Risky Reels, Sheriff's Office, Green Steel Bridge and Weeping Woods Cabin. This will launch the player into the air and cause small red bubbles to accumulate around them which will then fuse into one large bubble.
The bubble bounces off the ground and objects, gaining speed as it does so. While inside it, the player becomes invulnerable to fall damage.
The bubble will dissipate after a short time. The effect can be cancelled early by the following means:
- Entering water.
- Receiving damage from the Storm or opponents.
- Shooting while inside the bubble.
- Aiming while holding Throwable Items.
- Entering an Alien biome.
While the effect is active, it is impossible to build or edit.
