The Ancients[1] are the residents of the Jungle Biome in Fortnite: Battle Royale that was first introduced indirectly in Chapter 4: Season 1, but directly in Chapter 4: Season 3.
They are a very old and advanced civilization that used live in the ancient jungle eons ago. They used Refined Kinetic Ore to create amazing technologies such as The Apparatus, Cloak Gauntlets, Relik's armor and more. According to Doctor Slone's, The residents fled their home after they discovered The Eclipse, leaving clues behind for future generations.

The Ancients are so old that their ruins are impossible to date using traditional methods. They use a very blocky language/glyphs similar to the Cubes runes. Their architecture consist of blocky, diamond shaped windows, doorways with huge statues everywhere. They also know how to make Rifts and have some kind of advanced technology that Relik used to keep Doctor Slone alive and heal her when she should have died.
