Beta Rifts are a type of Rift in Fortnite: Save the World which appear to be stable rifts that cause "Reality Hiccups" in Canny Valley. Beta Rifts have no significant gameplay impact as they do not influence it and are not present on the world in a mission, unlike Alpha Rifts.

At the end of the Mercerado! quest, Carlos accidentally enters a Beta Rift. This is when Desiree opens up to Ray about her plan to use Beta Rifts to combat the Storm King. After supplies are given to Carlos to help fight his way out of a Alpha Rift, a Beta Rift must be stabalized to let Carlos out.
The Beta Rift is then used to send the Commander and Strike Team A to The Storm and deliver the bomb while The Storm King fights the Commander and their squad.
