About[]
Psyonix is most known as the developers of Rocket League and its spin-off title Rocket League Sideswipe, the former of which was made as a sequel for their first original game, Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars.
In May 2019, Psyonix was acquired by Epic Games. In 2021, they released Rocket League Sideswipe, a mobile game spin-off of Rocket League with 2D graphics, and in celebration of its release, a special event was hosted in Fortnite. In 2023, after being teased in The Big Bang live event, they released Rocket Racing, one of Fortnite's new Metaverse modes introduced alongside Fortnite Festival and LEGO® Fortnite, featuring cross-compatibility with Rocket League, allowing for cars and other cosmetics from both games to carry over to eachother.
