Health Is a game mechanic in LEGO Fortnite, It is a fundamental mechanic that governs how much damage the Player, alongside Villagers and Creatures are allowed to take before they are eliminated.

Functionality

Functionality[]

Unlike Battle Royale and Save the World's health systems, which is represented by a bar for both HP and Shield with a set number as the maximum, Health in LEGO Fortnite is represented by hearts (♥), each one representing four points of health. When a player starts a new world, regardless of what type of world it is set to, The player will start with a maximum of three Hearts . However, When the player spawns into the world for the first time, they will initially spawn with only one heart filled, but will have three refilled every time the Player respawns afterwords.

Losing Health[]

When the Player takes damage, such as from attacks by various Creatures or environmental hazards such as fall damage or letting the temperature meter reach ethier side due to excessive heat or cold, A portion of the hearts the player currently has proportionate to how much damage was taken will briefly glow white before being deducted from thier health total. If the player runs out of Health at any point, they will be eliminated and will need to respawn back at thier set spawn point, alongside dropping a backpack containing all items they had at time of death at that location if the "Drop Items on Elimination " Advanced Setting is not set to off prior to world creation. In addition, players can set the "Elimination" advanced setting to off prior to world creation to prevent eliminations on a fatal hit, in which they will always be left with only a quarter of a heart instead and cannot take any more damage until health is restored.

Restoring Health[]

Health can be restored in a variety of ways, namely with the consumption of various Foods & Beverages, using a Regeneration Charm or the passive regeneration of Slurp Juice, or by sleeping in a Bed for any period of time, when health is regenerated, a portion of the empty hearts will be filled with a white glow before being filled in, similarly to when players lose health. Some Food & Beverage items can also provide the player with temporary hearts (♥) if the amount of hearts they heal exceed the player's maximum health up to that item's healing threshold, up to a maximum of five, as that's the most that can be provided from Pizzas, which has the highest amount of ♥s compared to every other Food or Beverage that can provide them. these hearts are placed after the player's normal hearts and disappear when the amount of heath that temporary heart had left has been reached once damage is taken. When all temporary hearts have been consumed, the player will begin to take damage from their normal hearts until they consume a food or beverage that can provide temporary hearts under the same conditions.

Increasing Maximum Health[]

The only way to permanently raise maximum health is to equip Charms, such as Health Charms for example, All charms besides bestowing thier benefits to the player when equipped to one of their charm slots will increase a player's maximum health by the amount of hearts specified in their description, which are symbolized with blank hearts, once equipped, The player's health meter will be increased by however many hearts the charms the player is wearing until they are taken off or replaced by a different charm if the charm that is replaced has a difference in how many extra they add to the health meter, up to a maximum of 18 ♥s with at least three Epic tier Charms (with exception to the Reflection Charm, which provides four hearts). When a charm is equipped with an increase to the maximum Hearts or if the player takes any damage prior to equipping, any hearts that are added will need to be filled to make use of the extra health the Charms provide.
