Spawning

Spawning[]

White, Yellow, and Tan Chickens can naturally spawn either in the Grasslands and the Lost Isles. Brown Chickens can naturally spawn anywhere in the Dry Valley and the Lost Isles. Exotic Red and Exotic Blue Chickens can naturally spawn on the beaches of the Lost Isles. Exotic Green Chickens can naturally spawn in the jungles of the Lost Isles. Exotic Black Chickens can rarely spawn in the mountains of the Lost Isles. From the start of Update v39.50 to February 23rd 2026, the Black, Red, Orange, Gray, and Blue Chickens could naturally spawn either on the Ninjago Island.

Chickens can naturally drop a single piece of Fertilizer.

Fed[]

Chickens drop three Fervent Eggs when they are fed. Chickens can be fed a variety of food, such as: Zesty Corn and Healthy Raspberries.

Pet[]

Chickens drop a single Fervent Egg when they are domesticated.

On death[]

Chickens drop a single piece of Robust Meat and a single Feather upon death.

Taming

Taming[]

The Chicken can be tamed once the player gives it an Animal Treat and has an empty Barn in their Village. The Chicken will produce Fertilizer and Fervent Eggs while it is in the Barn and when fed a variety of food. The Chicken will roam the Village while it is not in the Barn.

When Chicken is fed Glowing Pepper in the Barn it will produce Fervent Fried Eggs. When Chicken is fed Vines in the Barn it will produce Feather.

Update v28.01:
- The Chicken was added.

Update v29.30:
- Chickens can now be found in Yellow, Tan, and Brown variants.

Update v31.20:
- Chickens can now be found in Exotic Red, Exotic Blue, Exotic Green, and Exotic Black variants in the Lost Isles.

Unknown Update:
- The Chickens description was changed from "Give them a friendly scratch and they may offer you some loot in return. BACAWK!" to
  "Give them a friendly scratch or snack and they'll drop Eggs. When assigned to a Barn, Chickens will produce even more items depending on what they're fed. When eliminated they may drop Feathers or Meat."

Update v39.50:
- For a limited time, Chickens can now be found in Black, Red, Orange, Gray and Blue variants on the Ninjago Island.

Update v39.50 (February 23rd):
- Black, Red, Orange, Gray and Blue no longer spawn naturally in the Ninjago Island.

Update v40.30 (May 4th):
- Porgs replace Chickens on the Star Wars Island.
