Overview

FNCS 2023 - Major 2 (Chapter 4 Season 2) is the seventeenth season of the Fortnite Champion Series. This season introduces the most massive changes to the FNCS system yet with an updated format. 3 splits - Major 1, Major 2, Major 3 - each having 3 weekly events leading to a major tournament. At its major tournaments, the best players from each region qualify for an international tournament that will determine this year's world champions.

Format[]

  • Week 1 - Round 1: April 13rd, 2023
    • 3 hour limit & 10 match limit
    • Scoring based on placement and eliminations
    • Top 200 duos of the Round 1 in every region will advance to Round 2
  • Week 1 - Round 2: April 14th, 2023
    • 3 hour limit & 10 match limit
    • Scoring based on placement and eliminations.
    • Top 50 duos of the Round 2 in every region will advance to Weekly Finals
  • Week 1 - Finals: April 15th, 2023
    • 3 hour limit & 10 match limit
    • Scoring based on placement and eliminations.
    • Teams will accumulate Series Points based on each week's results
  • Week 2 - Round 1: April 20th, 2023
    • 3 hour limit & 10 match limit
    • Scoring based on placement and eliminations
    • Top 200 duos of the Round 1 in every region will advance to Round 2
  • Week 2 - Round 2: April 21st, 2023
    • 3 hour limit & 10 match limit
    • Scoring based on placement and eliminations.
    • Top 50 duos of the Round 2 in every region will advance to Weekly Finals
  • Week 2 - Finals: April 22nd, 2023
    • 3 hour limit & 10 match limit
    • Scoring based on placement and eliminations.
    • Teams will accumulate Series Points based on each week's results
  • Week 3 - Round 1: April 27th, 2023
    • 3 hour limit & 10 match limit
    • Scoring based on placement and eliminations
    • Top 200 duos of the Round 1 in every region will advance to Round 2
  • Week 3 - Round 2: April 28th, 2023
    • 3 hour limit & 10 match limit
    • Scoring based on placement and eliminations.
    • Top 50 duos of the Round 2 in every region will advance to Weekly Finals
  • Week 3 - Finals: April 29th, 2023
    • 3 hour limit & 10 match limit
    • Scoring based on placement and eliminations.
    • Teams will accumulate Series Points based on each week's results
  • Surge Week: May 6th, 2023
    • 3 hour limit & 10 match limit
    • Scoring based on placement and eliminations
    • The five duos that earns a Victory Royale will advance to Grand Finals.
    • Top 5 ranked team at the end of the Session to advance to the Grand Finals
  • Grand Finals: May 13rd-14th, 2023
    • 2 sessions
    • 3 hour limit & 6 match limit for each
    • Scoring based on placement and eliminations
    • Top Duos advance to Global Championship Upper Bracket.
      • If a duo has already qualified, their spot will be transferred to the closest placing duo that has not qualified.
