Overview
Logs are a Gameplay Mechanic and environment object in Fortnite: Battle Royale. They were introduced in Chapter 3: Season 1.
Functionality
Functionality[]
When Log Trees reach 0 health, they will fall in the opposite direction to where they last took damage. Falling trees can cause other trees to fall, structures to be destroyed, or players to be eliminated, all dependant on how far the tree falls. When logs fall on a player, the damage dealt ranges from 20 to 100 HP.
If rolled into water, Logs float with the current and can be stood upon.

- If you want to cause an area to be more difficult to traverse, you can try destroying a Logs in close proximity to other Logs. This may start a chain reaction and cause other trees to fall, blocking an area.
- If possible, try to knock down trees near buildings which players have constructed, as they will tear through them when they fall down.
- Logs make good cover for players, as they are long structures which could have been difficult for an enemy to decipher where the you are hiding behind it.
