Easter Eggs

Several easter eggs have been scattered through Fortnite since its debut. They act as tributes to pop culture or even the game's community, and in more recent years they have been used as teasers for upcoming collaborations in the game. This page only lists those found within in-game locations, so cosmetics and items aren't included here.

Similarly, other medias have referenced the game in the same fashion.

	A kitchen countertop present in various houses contains a milk carton taken from the music video for the 1999 song "Coffee & TV" by the British rock band Blur.
	Epic Games	Athena; various
	Posters of previous Epic Games titles are scattered through the island. The games included are Jazz Jackrabbit, Shadow Complex and One Must Fall: 2097. A painting of the map Facing Worlds from Unreal Tournament can also be found.
	Suitcase	Athena; Container Yard
	An unbreakable suitcase containing miniatures of a machine and some bushes. Likely a reference to YahLikeDags' post on r/FortNiteBR containing a gif of a tractor mowing down a line of bushes, joking about campers in the game. It was one of the most upvoted posts on the subreddit at the time.[1]
	Eric's Proposal	Athena; house in C6 (Season 3)
	A table with a special letter that reads "Andrea, will you go to prom with me?" credited to "Eric", referring to the player Eric Grulke, who asked Epic Games if they could help him do a special proposal to his friend Andrea.[2]
	Chappadoodle's Grave	Athena; J7 (Season 5)
	A gravestone dedicated to the player Chappadoodle, who was accidentally eliminated by content creator Muselk in a rescue attempt from an inescapable area in the desert region. A stack of tires was put next to it to avoid players from getting into the same situation he was in.
	Pennywise, the Dancing Clown	Athena; Greasy Grove (Season 5)
	A set of balloons for the 1st Birthday event were placed on top of a sewer drain located in Greasy Grove, referencing Pennywise from Stephen King's It.

	Another easter egg related to Pennywise, this time with red balloons that more resemble the ones he uses in It. Popping one would trigger laughing from actor Bill Skarsgård done for the 2017 film. They were added around the release of It: Chapter Two but it's debatable if this was actually a collaboration or not.
	IFrost-Origins' Grave	Apollo; Gorgeous Gorge (Chapter 2: Season 1)
	A gravestone dedicated to the player IFrost-Origins, who dove straight to the bottom of Gorgeous Gorge during the first week of Chapter 2: Season 1. A no swimming sign was also left near the spot they impacted.[3]
	Homer Simpson	Apollo; Steamy Stacks (Chapter 2: Season 1)
	Several donuts can be found in the Steamy Stacks control panel. It is a reference to the character Homer Simpson from The Simpsons, who loves donuts and works at a Power Plant.
	Ferris Bueller's Day Off Car Crash	Apollo; Fancy View (Chapter 2: Season 1)
	The red car crashed through the garage's wall from behind in Fancy View as a recreation of the Ferrari scene in the film Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
	Indiana Jones' Fridge	Artemis; ? (Chapter 3: Season 1)
	A fridge found in the desert region of Artemis, believed to be a reference to Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Could've been a teaser for Indiana Jones himself who came two seasons later.
	Jackgraz10's Grave	Artemis; ? (Chapter 3: Season 1)
	A gravestone dedicated to the player Jackgraz10, whose Teammate launched them and their whole Trio off a Gas Station Sign from Northwest of Camp Cuddle to Southwest of Tumbledown Temple using the Off-Road Tire Glitch, ending in them getting knocked from fall damage as seen in their post on r/FortNiteBR.[4]
	Its Sm1ley6516 And Rust9K's Grave	Artemis; ? (Chapter 3: Season 1)
	Gravestones dedicated to players Its_Sm1ley6516 and Rust9K, who accidentally eliminated themselves by driving a Whiplash towards a Rift from Seven Outpost VI, causing it to go out of bounds as seen in their post on r/FortniteBR.[5]
	Capsule Corp.	Artemis; ? (Chapter 3: Season 3)
	A capsule manufactured by Capsule Corp. from Dragon Ball could be found in a table, located on a small island with a house, right next to Sanctuary. This island later became the Kame House for the collaboration it was teasing.
	Mini Helm's Deep	Artemis; ? (Chapter 3: Season 3)
	The Rock Kid made a miniature version of Helm's Deep from J. R. R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings saga. A group of aluminium cans and glass bottles are pointed towards it, representing Saruman's army in the Battle of the Hornburg.
	Helios; Rebel's Roost (Chapter 5: Season 1)
	A car wreck dedicated to r/FortniteBR user u/Highspeedfutzi, who got their Whiplash stuck between two trees after boosting in the air. Making a permanent crash site near Rebel's Roost.

	One of the possible generations in city zones is an abandoned playground with a human skeleton behind a chain link fence, referencing Sarah Connor's nightmare in the film Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Coincidentally, an actual collaboration went on to happen years later in Battle Royale.
