MAIN QUESTLINE V-BUCKS REWARDS IN FORTNITE STW[]

Fortnite StW Main Questline missions feature Storm Shield Defense missions around every tenth quest with 100 V-Bucks and Skill Points as the reward. Beginning of Save the World, it’s even more frequent and you will rack up quite some just by advancing in the story. Storm Shield Defenses reward you and your teammates with Hero Experience and Mini Llamas. Asking for help in the global chat is advised and many will happily help you for the rewards and “Hold The Door!” challenge progress.

MAIN QUESTLINE AREAS IN FORTNITE[]

Main Questline is divided to 4 different areas. You will unlock the next area after completing a set amount of quests. There are 6 Storm Shield Defense quests on each area’s quest line, regardless of how many quests the area has. Storm Shield Defense quests grant 100 V-Bucks, making it a total of 600 V-Bucks for completing each area’s questline. In addition, Storm Shield Defense 7, 8, 9 and 10 will appear as Side Quests when you play the game further. Storm Shield Defense 10 grants 150 V-Bucks, making it a total of 1050 V-Bucks for each area.

Stonewood‘s questline consists of 34 quests. Stonewood’s 1st, 9th, 16th, 23th, 28th and 34th quests are Storm Shield Defenses missions.

Plankerton‘s questline consists of 51 quests and therefore Storm Shield Defense missions are not as frequent as in Stonewood.

Canny Valley‘s questline consists of 81 quests and therefore Storm Shield Defense missions are not as frequent as in Stonewood or Plankerton.

Twine Peaks‘s questline consists of 98 quests and therefore Storm Shield Defense missions are not as frequent as in the previous areas.

In addition to Storm Shield Defense missions with V-Buck rewards, you will also unlock new areas and expand your Storm Shields as you progress. Your Storm Shield will expand and reveal more mission spots after each successful Storm Shield Defense mission. You will also get Challenges and Side Quests which some grant V-Bucks, each zone will feature 4 more Storm Shield Defense missions as Side Quests. There are a few area specific Daily Quests which may be obtained after reaching the area. Unlocking new areas improve the chances of finding V-Buck reward Timed Missions. SIDE QUESTS WHICH REWARD V-BUCKS IN FORTNITE STW[]

There are a lot of Side Quests and Challenges in Fortnite StW (Save the World). Some of them grant bacon, experience or other items and some reward you with V-Bucks. Challenges are repetitive for a few times. Progressing in the main questline grants new Challenges and Side Quests. Eventually, you will run out of Challenges and the V-Buck income from them is lost. Side Quests features finding Shielder data samples and completing Storm Shield Defenses up to level 10 after completing each area. Stonewood, Plankerton, Canny Valley and Twine Peak questline end after 6 Storm Shield Defenses leaving behind a 6 level Storm Shield.

List of all known Side Quests which grant V-Bucks.

  • Lok’s Book of Monsters – Gather sample data of a specific type of husk in successful missions. Some reward you with V-Bucks.
  • Lok’s Book of Monsters: Floating Freaks – Gather 20 pieces of Shielder Data in successful missions. 100 V-Bucks reward.
  • Stonewood/Plankerton/Canny Valley/Twine Peaks Storm Shield Defense 7-10 (outside of Main Questline). 100 V-Bucks reward for each completion. 10th Storm Shield Defense of each area rewards 150 V-Bucks.
REPETITIVE CHALLENGES

REPETITIVE CHALLENGES[]

List of all Challenges which grant V-Bucks in Fortnite. Every challenge come in 20 stages, later stages need more work to be completed.

  • Mission Accomplished! – Complete X missions. 50 V-Bucks are rewarded for each stage completion. Repetitive 20 times.
  • Hold The Door! – Complete X Storm Shield Defenses. 50 V-Bucks are rewarded for each stage completion. Repetitive 20 times.
  • Toxic Treasures – Destroy X Mimics in successful missions. 30 V-Bucks are rewarded for each stage completion. Repetitive 20 times.

You can earn total of 2600 V-Bucks over time just from the StW Challenges. Other challenges are “Eldritch Abominations” which grant an Active Powercell for killing Mist Monsters and “Leave No One Behind” which grant 10 Bacons and good amounts of Survivor XP for saving survivors.


EVENTS WHICH REWARD V-BUCKS IN FORTNITE STW[]

Fortnite events used to grant a lot of V-Bucks, but the last event that did was Road Trip back in 2018. It’s worth noting that some events more than double Mini-Boss missions to increase V-Bucks income during the event. Events have had their own separate questlines and even progression systems.

Events have introduced new heroes, weapons, traps and survivors and have granted free legendaries as well as V-Bucks when completed. Event store changes with each event. During the events you will earn event specific currency to buy Event Llamas with. Heroes, schematics and other items are this way earned for free without the need of V-Bucks. Normal V-Buck bought Llamas reward you with the current event’s currency. New Collection Book sections have appeared for the new items.

The Long Road Home started August 27, 2019 with the patch v10.20.

Get ready for some high intensity road trip action as you assist Quinn and company in broadcasting her Song of the Summer. You never know what challenges and obstacles you may find along the way, and getting there is half the adventure. Load up the van and gather your group because it’s time to Hit the Road! The Long Road Home questline rewards Gold, Event Tickets, a choice of new legendary ranged weapons, and a brand new Constructor Hero. Rad Llamas can be purchased from the Item Store for 500 Hit the Road Tickets. There were no V-Bucks on the Events’s questline.

BEYOND THE STELLAR HORIZON + TALES OF BEYOND + WARGAMES[]

May 9 – August 1, 2019

Lok claims to have met a strange visitor unlike anyone or anything Homebase has ever seen. Join the hunt to find Lok’s monster in Tales of Beyond! Introducing Wargames, take part in new and unique Stormshield mission Simulations to put your skills to the test! Revisit your Storm Shield bases and test your defenses against some destructive and challenging simulations. Join the cast and crew of Beyond the Stellar Horizon as the VSS Gallant takes flight once more. There were no V-Bucks on the Events’s questline.

Love is in the air – everybody run! Homebase has fallen victim to a virulent love outbreak, and it’s up to Ray and company to break it off before things get too serious. Ahoy Mateys! Join our Heroes and complete the “Yarrr!” Questline to earn event themed rewards. There were no V-Bucks on the Event’s questline. Mutant Storm mission alerts were more numerous.

Halloween event of Fortnite. There were no V-Bucks on the quest lines but the event more than doubled Timed Missions V-Bucks income.

CRAM SESSION[]

September 27 – October 24, 2018

Cram Session featured four quest lines, each of which had ten stages that granted increasingly better one-time rewards upon completion (Hero/Schematic/Survivor XP, Evolution Materials, PERK-UPs, or Gold) and repeatable quests that awarded Elemental PERK-UPs, RE-PERKs, and Evolution Materials. There were no V-Bucks on the quest lines but the event more than doubled Timed Missions V-Bucks income.

ROAD TRIP[]

Test that luck with the new Flintlock weapon set while you Challenge the Horde in the Road Trip event. The whole Road trip questline rewarded you with 500 V-Bucks, a lot of tickets, perk resources, one Legendary hero and a few banners.

May 1 – July 12, 2018

Join Spitfire and Lok as they investigate the comet and gear up to recruit a team of superheroes! Features Military Weapons and ShadowOps Heroes. The whole Blockbuster questline rewarded you with 900 V-Bucks, a lot of tickets, Legendary Military Weapon and two Legendary and Mythic Heroes. In addition, the Blockbuster event nearly tripled the amount of Mini-Boss mission spots on the map as well as the daily reward claim cap and the missions pretty often had V-Bucks as the reward.

INTO THE STORM[]

April 11 – May 1, 2018

Accompany Lars and Ray on their journey into Lars’ past in the brand new questline. Event features brand new Survive the Storm map – Thunder Route 99, Storm Llamas, Legendary Neon Weapons and Cyberpunk Heroes.

The whole Into the Storm questline rewarded you with 300 V-Bucks, 6k Tickets, Legendary Neon Weapon and Legendary Cyberpunk Hero.

SPRING IT ON![]

February 15 – April 11, 2018

New quests will be introduced throughout the duration of the event! Spring It On! begins with a tale of love in a storm-ridden world, with the usual Fortnite twist… Firecracker Tickets can be earned by using the new Opt-In Difficulty feature (a BluGlo pylon which increases difficulty when you turn in 1-3 BluGlo) and as event rewards and the tickets are used to purchase Spring Llamas. Features Lunar New Year Heroes and Dragon Weapons! All quests from every week are available throughout the event!

The whole Spring in On! questline rewarded you with 10k Firecracker Tickets, 800 V-Bucks, Legendary Dragon Weapon, Legendary Defender, 3 Legendary Heroes and Seasonal Gold.

MUTANT STORMS[]

January 25 – February 15, 2018

The new Mutant Storm event grants some V-Bucks, Hydraulic weapons and more. The following quests grant 50 V-Bucks and has three stages.

  • Enraged – Stage 1 to 3: “Kill 500 Enraged Husks in successful Mutant Storm missions.”
  • Quickened – Stage 1 to 3: “Kill 500 Quickened Husks in successful Mutant Storm missions.”
  • (unlocks later) Frenzied Deathburst – Stage 1 to 3: “Kill 500 Frenzied Deathburst Husks in successful Mutant Storm missions.”

Unfortunately, the Event Store doesn’t have V-Bucks to be bought with Seasonal Gold. The Event awards total of 450+ V-Bucks.

November 29 – December 14, 2017

Mutant Storms grants a total of 800 V-Bucks for finding safes in addition to other rewards from various quests. The Quest called “Unsafe Deposit” comes in 8 stages and rewards 100 V-Bucks from each stage completion. You need to find and loot a single safe but at stage 5 and after you need 2 safes looted to complete the quest and get the 100 V-Bucks. Teammate looted safes do not count. It is advisable to check roofs and basements of various buildings. Safes seems to always to be in a building including bunkers and watch towers and not on top of the mountains or inside caves. Keep in mind that safes are harder to find than Treasure Chests. You will also earn Storm Tickets from the quests and successful missions on the storm zones.

SURVIVE THE HOLIDAYS[]

December 14, 2017 – January 25, 2018

Survive the Holidays features it’s own questline with 4 pages of quests. In addition to 11 event quests the event features a few side quests and one of them grant 100 V-Bucks. The whole, relatively short event grants 400 V-Bucks and the V-Buck reward missions are seen below.

  • Page 2, First mission called “Fruitcakes!” – 100 V-Bucks
  • Page 3, Second mission called “Jingle all the Way!” – 100 V-Bucks
  • Page 4, First mission called “The Fairytale of Homebase” – 100 V-Bucks

The Side quest which grant 100 V-Bucks is called “Who Goes There?” and to complete it you need to find the Frozen Thing in the ice. You can find a frozen pond on every Survive the Storm mission and there it is, a frozen troll husk below the ice. The Event introduced Event Store which includes total of 500 V-Bucks to be bought with Seasonal Gold, which you earn after each successful mission. You will also earn Snowflake Tickets from the quests and successful missions/survivals as well as other event items.

FORTNITEMARES – THE HALLOWEEN EVENT[]

October 26 – November 29, 2017

Fortnitemares event grants a total of 400+ V-Bucks over 23 quests. About every third quest rewards you with 50 V-Bucks. In addition, the event rewards you with over 2000 Candies throughout it’s questline and each successful mission grants you 50 Candies. Fortnitemares Llama costs 500 Candies and it guarantees at least one Epic or better limited time Fortnitemares Survivor or Hero. Fortnitemare Heroes are duplicates of the existing heroes but with different appearances.
